Re: Which Magazine for N-Gauge?

I have found from initially buying all the magazines that only Railway Modeller out of the commercial magazines treats N gauge as an equal and valid gauge that goes to make up the broad church of the hobby. Others seem to me to regard OO as the only proper way to go and suffer the occasional N gauge...

Re: Peco Collett

I don't know - but I have ordered one and Hattons have acknowledged the order. If it ever turns up I will let you know - mind you i have had a GWR railcar on pre-order for two years. :D http://www.ehattons.com/stocklist/1000407/1000589/1000640/0/Peco_Products_N_Gauge_Steam_locos/prodlist.aspx?showPr...

Just seen this. Wonderful stuff as always - and sheep in a Forest of Dean type location on the roadside.

4th January beckons with folk like Alex writing about going back to work. Guessing this might be when you start your new job so if it is then I wish you good fortune in your new company.

Re: Layout Planning App Wanted.

I too found that pencil and paper allows you to see where you are on your fixed dimension layout board and with the aid of a rubber permits you to swerve when necessary. Despite being a keen user of computers at work (logistics) and for my photography my view of track planning software is that it te...

Re: N-gauge loco specs, Hall, Grange & Manor

I have all three. The Hall is outstanding, the Grange is nearly as good (smooth but not silent like the Hall. The Manor is a nightmare and I believe is Dapol adopting an Ixion design - it chatters its tender wheels on the rails because of lousy bearing design - the harshness of the noise confines it...

Re: My (N gauge) table football layout!

This is splendid stuff PNP. Well done. It's very reminiscent of the rock face at the site of the old Symonds Yat station near me. Perhaps given your painting prowess with your N gauge cat you could have a go at a falcon's nest.
