Re: AMSERARALLLLEARALL SCENERY AND LAYOUT

This is my latest project, got side tracked from the others, but I started to draw this up about 3 years ago, then went flying and that was that.
So thought it was time to finish it. Added the person trying to pinch the coins as an extra point of interest.

I never thought of that, have to draw one up and print it,
it never ends.

Re: AMSERARALLLLEARALL SCENERY AND LAYOUT

Well a few hard days on the modelling bench and the Steptoe and Sons wagon is finished, ( for the moment ) May find a few more things to add, and I think the old mans kerchief needs another coat of paint. the thing on the seat between them is a gargoyle. I just found a broken chimney pot to add to t...

Re: AMSERARALLLLEARALL SCENERY AND LAYOUT

Here is a few photos of where the wagon with its load is at. Just printing Harold and the old man at the moment. The couch, toilet and the wash basin are whitemetal and are part of the old Linka miniatures range. The iron is the foil stuff you buy. the rest of the items are 3D printed, either Resin ...

Re: AMSERARALLLLEARALL SCENERY AND LAYOUT

Hi all as Arnie would say I'm back. Yes after a bit of a break from my model Railway, I have returned. I have been indulged in one of my other hobbies that is flying RC planes and helicopters. Aero modelling was something I did before trains but had not touched for many years. So at the moment I hav...

Re: AMSERARALLLLEARALL ELECTRONICS

Hi sarahk99 unfortunately other projects have taken over, woodwork, and radio control model aircraft. Only recently I have managed to remove all the planes and helicopters from the layout, so soon I hope to be able to get back into working on the layout. I have been able to run a deltic that has bee...

Re: RC CONTROLLED LIMA DELTIC

This morning did a timed test run on the Deltic with the current set up the train will run for 3 hours and 30 minutes and the battery has 14% charge left. When I fly I go down to about 10% and that’s generally for a 5 to 10 minute flight depending on how much hot-dogging I do. The battery in the Del...

Re: RC CONTROLLED LIMA DELTIC

Hello, Very interested in what it would cost or has cost to do the deltic. Thanks for showing and very clever idea. The cost is a bit hard to work out I was given a complete plane in flying readiness. And when I turned the plane into tip fodder :D I used the radio gear for this project. On ebay you...

Re: RC CONTROLLED LIMA DELTIC

Nice to see you back! What is the hold up with reversing, just not got round to it or is it technical ?(doubt it is as most RC controllers have at lest two channels). Why did you have to butcher the body? I’m glad to be back with the trains, the keeping the track clean has been my biggest problem. ...

I have uploaded a short video on Youtube of the Deltic running

Next stage is to cut the bottom of the fuel tanks and place the track cleaning parts into them.

Re: RC CONTROLLED LIMA DELTIC

Here is the next 5 pictures. After cutting the roof open I glued the window plastic into the body, as it would have probably broke when I tried to cut it out. Pictures 1 and 2 show the widow glass glued into place. 3rd and 4th show the middle cut out of the window glass. 5th photo shows the razor sa...

RC CONTROLLED LIMA DELTIC

Hi all i have been conspicuous by my absence on the forums due to my other hobby RC Planes. I have decided to fix a problem that has plagued me from the beginning with my layout and that is keeping the tracks clean, and cleaning then. Most track cleaners get towed behind a loco which travels over th...

Re: ARDUINO PROGRAMMING, AND INTERFACING HELP

Hi timbologist I had another look at your code and got it running how I want it to. I like the look of it. It's complex looking for me to use but it look so much nicer than my code and shorter. The code I had to change was this I'm glad you got it working the way you wanted, as I said I used the ti...
