Re: BR Standard 2-8-0 9F

Happy New Year to all. One small correction. The BR Standard 9F locomotive had a 2-10-0 wheel Arrangement, not as stated in
the Thread title.

Re: Pullman coach name fonts

Hi Geoff, I didn't like the idea of sticking a name over the existing ones so I went the long way round and made complete new side panel transfers and revitalized a complete rake of old Triang Pullmans with the correct names and numbers for the prewar Q of S rake. I used Photoshop and, although it t...

Morning all. Took the bull by the horns and got on with the Body. Still no Chassis or wheels but the Body was as good as complete so I decided to spray it.

Just remember it is a 3 cylinder loco and there should be 6 beats (chuffs) per revolution of the driving wheels.

Re: Mallard Partwork

Nick, I wouldn't worry too much about the Motor offer, there are lots on the market that will do the Job just as well. Well guys I've been busy on my Mongrel Hatchette and got the tender finished. The Chassis was as good as it needed to be without cluttering it up unneccessarily. Took me a while to ...

Re: Oh Doctor Beeching tv series

I liked the Series Curry and Chips. Downloaded all episodes from the Web. It was taken off before completion of the first series because ITV thought Thames Television had 'gone too far' with the racial inuendoes. Fact is, nobody was really bothered and the Term 'Racist' wasn't even used back then.

Re: Help- make 1/64 scale ?

Oops, you're right of course. But it will work if the original drawings are 00. At my locol photocopy shop, I blow 00 up to 0 by enlarging at 175%.

Re: Help- make 1/64 scale ?

I believe I'm right in saying that if you use a commercial copier, such as those available in many stores, with a variable enlargement scale, you should be able to boost a 4mm (00 Scale) drawing by copying it at 102% enlargement....and it will be at approx. 4.8mm to the foot.

Re: London to Leeds, 40 minutes?

To an outsider, London is just a Tourist trap designed to take your money, just like Paris, Rome, Berlin, Brussels and I've been to all of them.
