Re: What desk light do you use for the your workstation?
Anglepoise magnifier with built in LED lights, especially in winter months. Can clamp the lamp to any point around the edge of my desk.

Really impressed, especially with the automatic reducing level of the coal. Wonderful model.

Re: Slow, But Progress
Really nice layout, I'd be really happy with that. I am also impressed with your wall papering above, I would have struggled at that angle :0)

Re: Looking for a simple way to light a layout
A torch? Seems simple to me. Bicycle front lamps have brackets so this could come in useful, especially with the more expensive adjustable beam type bicycle lamps (Rare). I bought a string of battery operated Christmas lights. Theze may offer a budget alternative. Then comes table lights and all so...

Re: Airbrush Recommendations. How good is yours?
Hi E2E, I've used a similar combination for ages with no problems. The compressor model is or is similar to the AS186, in fact I have seen a two airbrush and compressor kit on Amazon for £40 less than the one you have shown in your link. I have several different China made, airbrushes, again from Am...

Re: Servo motor control
Yes a bit drastic I suppose, but I may give an n gauge shunting layout a go at some point. I like electronics and some of the Blocksignalling modules are tempting.

Re: Servo motor control
Barney. You need a PC to download a programme from the Arduino library (if you can find one) or compile one (Sketch in arduino speak) to the Uno. Once it is downloaded to the Uno, you no longer need to have it connected to the PC, unless of course you want to change some parameters. I gave up trying...

Why not use cable from an old set of earbuds. Very fine and of course flexible.

Re: Airbrush
Hi Gerald H, yes I am getting on fine with this. I mainly use this as a general purpose paint brush for various hobby projects. Useful for small tasks, as it is easy to top up the fixed paint cup, or give it a quick rinse out. I have not had any ''spatter'' pattern from the brush, but like any other...

Great, the tenaments are what hooked me in the first place. Keep up the good work.luckymucklebackit wrote:Thanks Buggleskelly, I salvaged the bulk of the buildings from the old layout including the tenament and will be incorporating them into the new plan.

Thanks for the update, will look forward to seeing the progress pics, as I very much enjoyed the original G&N and especially the photo realistic tenement low relief buildings.

Re: Wifi Camera
Why not use one of those mini wifi cams you see on places like Amazon. Only 22mm square and start at about £13. Just put in place on a flat wagon with a tiny dab of bluetak. These cameras not only record, see in the dark, but stream to your smartphone.
