Re: More eBay nonsense...........

While not as bad as that example he does seem to have a fair number of wagons listed for silly money

even if you win it for £5 you will still have to pay £6.50 P&P!

Re: Hattons new Website Oh Dear.....

It might be linked to thier new website, but Hattons look to be more active on eBay as well: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/ehattons

I have a few alerts set up, one of which is for P class locos and its gone nuts recently with new listings - turns out they are all from Hattons

Re: Great Electric Train Show - 13th-14th October 2018

there should definitely be one cross aisle in rows of that length. Yes! that would really have helped, it was normally in the middle of the aisle that it got gridlocked so giving more movement would have been really helpful A couple of layouts seemed to be running their timetable in real-time witho...

Re: Yet another newbie seeking advice

I would suggest getting a electrofrog point to play with, learn how they need to be wired up etc & if your OK with them use them for all points on your layout Cost wise they are the same and give much better running at slow speeds, it’s better to put them in from the start rather then change you...

Re: Great Electric Train Show - 13th-14th October 2018

In all honesty the only trader i looked at in detail was TMC, thats partly because i know there stuff is worth looking  at but also because they had an end stall so it was a little easier to get in - Rails etc who had stalls in the middle of a row i didn't even bother to try getting in to look ...

Re: Great Electric Train Show - 13th-14th October 2018

I went on Saturday and enjoyed the show, its the first one of that size i have been to, it was really really busy and got rather hot but some really nice layouts on display and worth the trip. I gave up trying to take photos about 1/3 of the way in as it was just to busy but thought i would share th...

Re: A Dead Decoder - But Weird ?

You have probably done so already but try resetting it several times in a row, I have had this bring back a ‘dead’ chip before - that being said I never have much luck with the hornby chips  so avoid them at all costs now

Re: Looking at electronic componants

I ran into the same issue recently when i ran out of dropper wire, i had to order it online in the end as i couldn't find anywhere nearby that stocked it, arrived within a few days but stopped my track laying progress over a weekend which was a pain
