Re: The right layout
yes several times! varying reasons but normally its down to an increase in skills / confidence wanting to try something better then you had before - the latest layout for example is the best i have done so far but in the back of my mind i am toying with the idea of pulling it all up again :ro...

Re: Nelevator
Just for those interested Nelevator has around 100 orders for the N Gauge unit and is currently in production. It saves on space, track, points and decoders electrics etc so the price for this is very competitive, factor in you can admire your stock on dustproof display then it is very good value. M...

Re: Cumbrian Mountain Express
Mine overheated after five minutes, melted the bogie and burnt my hand removing it from the track. Presently at Bachmann waiting for something to be done, glad I was present in the room because the Fire Station is not yet built.

Re: DCC Locos with DC point switching?
I use DCC for both Loco and Point control. I tried Hornby Railmaster for this but just could not get on with Loco control on it but the mimic panel and direction arrows for the track was brilliant so I disconnected the track supply and put it through an NCE Powercab which feels "natural" u...

Re: Hornby Brighton Belle Released

Currently only the 1969 blue version is out but it looks terrific. I ordered a set and eagerly await delivery. Michael Could well be wrong but it looks cr...

Re: Real Difference Between N & OO?
Thanks to everyone for the information and advice. Thanks to ParkeNd for the pictures and video. Really surprised about the detail, and just how much you can get on to a relatively small space. I am leaning towards N gauge, helped by the internet showing me that I can get "Tornado" in sca...

Re: Do I need isolating rail joiners?
I'm in need of a straight answer to a pretty simple question which, no matter how many DCC forums, websites, books etc I check I have yet to discover. It is - Even though power is being fed to all tracks at once to keep them all live, does the layout still have to be split into sections with isolat...

Re: Another coupling problem
Thanks for the answer, hadn't noticed that the two ends of the wagon were different, will either keep them coupled to each other or sell on. Cheers.

Re: Another coupling problem
No sorry both of those are wrong, I want normal NEM couplings as they are on the other end of the wagons. The photo depicts the type that are what I have at one end and want to change. Thanks.

Another coupling problem
From a Farish bogie wagon Axis Intermodal 377-576 I appear to have an NEM on one end and an alien coupling on the other, this mates to another alien on the end of the other Axis wagon I have?
Would like to convert the aliens to NEM, any ideas please?
