Re: Static Grass Problems
conductivity of differing materials is irrelevant as the glue/water mix is the conducting media and water is just about the best conductor !! distance applied from and batteries are the most likely answer , more PVA in the mix , sprinkling lower down and a run over with the vacuum after drying and b...

Re: Making a move to N gauge...

Re: What is a new product?
For me 'new' implies something, be it an item of rolling stock or a locomotive, which has not been available before. Different liveries/numbers don't count in my book. How many 'new' A4s have we had, for example? how many of them when re named and numbered lose their value ??? a genuine factory rel...

Re: What is a new product?
biggest problem is that it is all subjective and will differ to every individual , I'm also in the camp that it is not solely a new product as I have the ability to re number and re livery , but others without my ability would have a strongly differing opinion likewise with train sets , yes you prob...

....and while you have gone to the trouble of dissecting the car, wang some LED's in! good idea on plastic cars but diecast bodies can prove to be considerably harder , by the nature of diecasting it sees that head and tail light areas have very thick metal to drill through whilst not too much of a...

populating oxford cars
technicaly not just oxfords offerings but most model vehicles seem to be modelled bereft of people fine if you intend to model a car park but not so good if you intend to model on roads and around the layout I have just done a couple very quickly for demo purposes that are going to be used on my fut...

Re: Does Hornby push itself too far?
Before launching the inevitable avalanche of support for the local shop consider this: what proportion of eg. model locos are actually bought over the counter? I would hazard a guess that the majority of the market are internet or telephone sales, the bricks and mortar shop being irrelevant here. ....
