Re: Why is this Forum so quiet ?

Perhaps many viewers, like me, have neither technical expertise e.g. loco repairs, electrics, signalling nor real railway world history/knowledge to contribute? I can usually say little more than "wow, that looks brilliant" - so I do! Couldn't agree more. This is exactly where I' m at. I ...

Re: Static Grass Problems

Guys I can see where your coming from. On thinking about it the nail would just be the earth but unfortunately this doesn't help to explain the very different results I get on differing materials whilst using the same method. I tried another area on the test piece of plywood which was about 75mm squ...

Re: Static Grass Problems

Thanks for the replies.

New batteries Alex but still no joy unfortunately.

Thanks for the tip Bufferstop. I'll give that a go on my test piece to see how I get on.

Static Grass Problems

Good morning all. First an apology if this has been covered else where. I searched static grass but couldn't find what I was after. I am having a pleasing amount of success with my static grass applicator when I use it with the nail attached to scenery built from foam or polystyrene and the grass is...

Re: My (N gauge) table football layout!

Hi guys I have just found your thread and will follow it with interest. I'm considering a small N gauge layout for in the house as the 00 in the garage is a bit chilly at the moment. If I may, I will pose questions as you go as I'm very new to layout building although I find it fascinating. Regards ...

Re: My workbench thread

Looking good Lee, as always.

Very interested to see how the class 08's with the extra lighting turn out and as always admire the class 40's. Any chance of a video so we can hear the sound please.

May need to place an order with you!

Regards

Re: My workbench thread

Hi Lee

I love the class 40 you have done. Possibly my favourite one to date. Brings back fond memories of a second hand model I had for my 11th birthday in 1984. An oval of track on the dining room table for a couple of days at a time if I was lucky.

Keep up the excellent work.

Re: oo scale modern tipper trucks

Many thanks for the reply. I doubt my modelling skills are up to cut and shuts at the moment.
I am in no great rush as of yet and have had an email from oxford diecast saying they are hoping to produce something near the end of this year.

oo scale modern tipper trucks

Good evening

I was wondering if anyone knows of a source for modern 8 wheel aggregate / asphalt lorries. I am going to include a model of a rail fed asphalt plant on my layout and cannot locate any suitable transport for the finished product.

Many thanks

Re: Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks for the replies so far. Some interesting plans on the supplied link. TK421 - Do the bus wires have to form a loop or can they just go from one end to the other? I have insulfrogs at the moment but only because thats what I had available. Going to investigate the electro versions tomorrow in t...

Any help greatly appreciated

Hi Guys My first post so good evening to you all. I would like some help please. I have recently decided to build a oo scale layout in my garage but I'm going to start with a 4' x 2' oo layout in the house so I can practice all the aspects of the hobby first. Could you take a peak at the plan I have...
