Re: Dynamis playing up.

So would people generally recommend this for a DCC controller? It would be my first one, once I get my layout built. How old is the Dynamis now? (And does that matter). I don't know if I'd need to use a laptop with the controller. I see there's a new one - Dynamis Ultima, that has a USB port so you ...

Avatar size / help

I'm trying to upload an avatar, but the forum says you can only have a file size up to 6kb..??
I have made an image 100x100px, at high quality its 53kb, but even saving it at lowest quality it's still 41kb

Re: RES depot

Thanks for the input folks! I like the idea of the train going through the warehouse,as seen in the video and some pics. Might do something like that if I have the space.

I think will be looking into that Jim, as you say might look a bit off if they're shiny, brand spanking new!

RES depot

So, as mentioned in another thread, I have the beginnings (loco & a few coaches) of a RES parcels train. Now my idea, space permitting is to have a depot where this train pulls in and unloads, and again space permitting it would be adjacent to a road based distribution centre. Here I would have ...

Re: Railfreight / Trainload freight train

Cool, thanks! Sorry, one other question. Would a brake van be used? Such as: http://r.ebay.com/it4T6e Found a few photos... One carrying a reasonably long haul of timber.. https://www.flickr.com/photos/yorkshires-finest/6512362699/ A selection of various containers: https://www.flickr.com/photos/242...

Re: Railfreight / Trainload freight train

Thanks for the replies folks! I'm going to keep an eye out for a class 37, I'm not overly fussed on exact location accuracy. I'm going for east coast mainline kinda thing (with the IC 225). The RES train is being pulled by a Class 86 RES livery. So with the class 37 did they haul a great mixture of ...

Railfreight / Trainload freight train

So, I'm gathering some things to run on my layout. I'm aiming for, I think, early - mid 1990s era around or just before privatisation. I've had for quite some time a class 91 Intercity passenger train (now has 6 coaches and dummy rear car), I'm not really going for this has to be absolutely accurate...

Re: Greetings from France

Hi there. I've got some of these books, they vary between 8 and 16 pages, but they're only about 2 quid. There's a part 1 and part 2 for "wiring the layout" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/381042514158?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps...
