I would recommend Digital Control from day one ,buy the super detailed locos and coaches,they are a bit more expensive but are so worth it,Nickle silver track also ,a couple of train sets to get you going although they come will Analouge controlers are Hornby R1251m and R1252m,I've got both of them ...

Hi,have you had it running fine in the past and has just developed this problem or is this the first time you have connected it up ,also did you fit dropper wires to a bus wire ,,if you have then check they are all connected correctly ,IE,,red to red black to black ,just one wrong will cause a short...

Bure valley models have some good priced models on there website or in the shop if you live near by ,I'm tempted by the merchant navy class "Elder Dempster "@£129 and the stroudly terrier " Merton " @£84 plus loads more ( part of the centenary ) .

Looks and sounds like a good solution but what is the fuel consumption like ,also did you know that you could use red diesel instead of regular diesel ,it's almost half price .

Soldering Advice needed
Hi ,,I'm thinking of learning to solder ,at the minute I couldn't solder to save my life ,I have a solder iron which is 40 watts,would that be suitable for wire droppers on the layout ,also what solder and flux would you recommend for soldering droppers to Nickle silver track .thankyou mjb Mod Note....

Hi,,,what decoders did you buy ?,I don't know anything about the Bachmann EZ command but if it is anything like the Hornby select then it might not be compatible with the decoders ,also to try ,use the decoder from the jinty to see if the other trains will run ,also try the three decoders in the jin...

Received mine today ,very nice ,nothing special other than the name and the livery etc but there are a couple of let's say 'gifts' inside the box ,I won't say what they are and ruin the surprise

Hi,,,in real life the 08 class wouldn't be a fast train,I think this has come up before on the forum ,I've got an 08 dcc fitted and that is slow .

I have had the powercab and it is a great controler,I now have a MRC prodigy advance 2,between the two you are comparing I would definitely go with the NCE powercab.
