Re: Bachmann no longer list Hattons as a stockist
OK. I'll bite. Why? :D If it is because Hattons are now selling thier own manufactured items then why are Gaugemasters shelves full of Bachmann items? It seems they are being very choosy with retailers. One is OK yet another has been denied. It's all very odd. Thanks End2end Gaugemasters own range ...

Re: Bachmann no longer list Hattons as a stockist
Bachmann have not supplied Hattons since August 2018. Still if is fun reading the speculation as to why. And yes I DO KNOW WHY before anybody jumps in

Re: Great Electric Train show
Hornby themselves have taken a stand this time. The GES is organised and sponsored by the "Hornby Magazine" which is a publishing company. We let them advertise the show on here, but they kept bunging in adverts for non railway publications, so in the end we pulled the plug on them. Hornb...

Re: JAMES MAY'S BIG TROUBLE IN MODEL BRITAIN 06/03/19
Technically the Hornby models are Class 59 as there are detail differences between them and the class 66 but as SK says the price point is the crux of the matter. Not everybody wants the all singing all dancing version or for that matter can afford one. Also I feel Simon has a point when he says tha...

Re: 2019 Catalogue Announcement
Hmm. The OO for 2019 is all reliveries of existing models, nothing from newly introduced tooling unless I am very much mistaken. And the 2019 catalogue tends toward reliveries of older tooling too. Where are the quite recent Stanier 'porthole' and Thompson gangwayed coaches in BR maroon ? Surely th...

Re: Class 101
This has given me fresh impotus( spelling? ) to get on to Hornby & suggest they knock out another 101 3-car set in the refurbished white with blue stripe WYPTE livery. Surely it wouldn't be too risky in terms of shifting units, bearing in mind they did a 110 in these colours in the...

Re: Hornby 2018 Range
Hattons announce that the J36 delivery is now expected to be in October 2018. Well, at least it gives me an opportunity to finish the coaling stage first, and perhaps even pick up the J36's from Hattons at Warley. I don`t think Hattons attend Warley in a selling capacity or indeed attend any shows ...
