Re: Shunt / fiddlers yard 6x3
Will be run on DC mat, the display line will only be for a static only. Only place I had thought about trains waiting is the top siding this area maybe some sort of engine shed. As for track its all bog standard hornby. All points will be controlled manually. And only one train running at a time. Mark

Re: help with ID of this please
It could be from one of these . I have a Triang trans continental and it looks very similar but I think it was used in a few different models EDIT. Just noticed that you said the rear coupling had come off. The trans continental wouldn't have had a rear coupling, so it can't be from that model. Yes...

A "old boy" mate of my grandad gave him this to give to me. Just something he picked up at a car boot 25p it set him back. Lol cheap I know lol. But it works a treat. Apart from it not having a body shell it's a smooth runner. Rear coupler taken off as I was cleaning it.. All he was told w...

Re: manually changing points.
Try here: http://www.lytchettmanor.co.uk/mercontrol.html There are other (cheaper) ways of doing it, I use rail let into the baseboard with an omega loop at the point end and a DPDT slier switch at the other to switch frog polarity. There are plenty of other variations on the subject... Try Googlin...
