Hi, can you tell me what you use for ground cover between the rails. If you look in the 4th picture from the end, the ground looks rippled and very lifelike in my opinion. Although I got some money (enough to buy my Hall class), Ive decided to buy a Manor instead, 7825 "Lechlade Manor", at £49 (from ehattons) its a little less expensive than the Hall class at £56, and according to hattons a "bargain" :wink: Jeremy Glad you have purchased a Manor...

Nearly finished! :D

Roof needs dirtying up a bit and the woodwork needs a little distressing in places, a job for tomorrow.

Was unsure about the kit at first but it doesn't make into a bad looking little building.

Went shopping again today and bought most of the structures needed for the layout. I want to assemble them so I can place them on the layout and do a "dry run" as such before cutting timber to shape. This evening I have made a start on the barn, hopefully get it completed later. Progress s...

Cheers, the water staining is done with a little white water colour,not quite got it right yet but atleast it can all be washed off if I don't like it! Once happy she can be given a light spray of matt varnish to make sure it stays the same!
