Re: Kinning Park

Not much progress but some work done. Re wired all the point motors. All working to the very best now. Some scenery done in the far corner. Its the hardest to reach so done it first. Small allotment in the corner section. I used grey and brown ballast in the yard. Hoping to weather this down a bit a...

general order of building a layout.

OK I am not at the stage of doing the scenery on my lay out. I have an idea of what I want it to look like but I am struggling to work out what order to do things in. Read some where that people do the ballast first and other do it last. I still need a few building to arrive in the post. Do I place ...

Re: concret area around lines.

I followed "evarton junction " of youtube. It seems to work a bit better for him. I used matchcticks to create a border then filled the area with pollyfiller. Sanded it all down. scored out the cuts for the tracks. Has left a bit of mess and took a good few days to dry.

concret area around lines.

HI I am wondering what is the best way to do the concrete for yard areas. I used the pollyfiller attempt but it took ages to dry and was very messy. Happy with end result though. I have another area that I would like to do but may try a different idea. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/glennkin...

Re: Kinning Park

Slight update. Opted for the polly-filler yard/concrete crane area. Was a bit messy but once sprayed looks good enough. what other ways is there to do this? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/glennkinning/6E4FDFA0-194F-4519-A22C-E9A211839108-2176-00000151F8F2963D.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/a...

New loco. Well apparently.

Purchased a new modle over the holidays. Went to run it tonight and had a few problems. Once i had the decoder fitted and lined it up on the rails smoke came out of the decoder. I quickly got it of the rails and checked it over and spotted the two things pictured below. I now believe the loco has ha...
