Dapol N Schools traction tyres

Hi All

I wondered if anyone has a technique to get the traction tyre onto the rim. I've already got the tyre the correct side of the motion. I was wondering if the body needs to be separated from the wheels but can only find 1 screw

Many thanks

Hoop top fencing quandry

Hi

I have bought some n brass hoop top fencing and cannot decide where the fencing stops and the discardable bits start. Also, how do you fix it to the layout. I think in real life it would have had concrete base or at least longer legs to bury

Any thoughts?

Many thanks

I got Wickes to install a decoder in my terrier so you could try them

I'm not sure which one they used

Re: Class 33 couplings

Hi

It's been a while but I have now replaced the Heljan couplings with Hornby ones and they work a treat - so simple - Thank you SR Man

Hi Flashbang

The power supply is DC and you have seen the panel recently and will show it to you again later.

Seep point motors x 3

Hi All I have a situation on my layout where I would like to throw 3 Seep PM1's in one action. Is this possible and how much power will I need . My points are separately powered at the moment with 16v but this can be increased to 24v by moving a simple switch on the power supply. I do have a CDU wir...

Re: Class 33 couplings

Hi Chaps Finally plucked up the courage and carried out the refitting of the pockets. Many thanks to you all and in particular to SR Man who gave me the right amount of encouragement. Unfortunately I lost the end to a couple of the sand pipes (at least that is what I think they are) but as they are ...

Re: Class 33 couplings

I thought there must be a knack but as I am only just getting back into this after many years away things have changed a lot. Would I be right in thinking this can be done without removing the bogie set from the engine, just removing the buffer beam to give better access? Many thanks for your help s...

Class 33 couplings

Hello all I have purchased a class 33 recently and was concerned by the brewers droop with the NEM which after reading through this forum have found is quite common. However in my ignorance, and being new to these new fangled intricacies I think not only have I pulled the coupling out but also what ...

Re: Traction

I don't mind what it is really as it will only have the one function. The tanker is made of brass and weighs a fair bit

Traction

I'm looking for an engine, probably diesel but not necessarily, of any sort make or colour with the best traction to pull/push a track cleaning tanker in n. Any suggestions?

Chuffed

Hi All I am so chuffed that after three years I have finally completed the track work and sent a couple of engines around my layout today. Its not much to look at and there are a couple of 'dry' spots to sort out but it is my first attempt. I know it might sound a long time but me and some friends h...
