Re: Gateside and Northbridge

The shed is looking really good Jim. The water tower sitting at the side makes it a nice compact depot. I'm sure I've seen somewhere a water tower built using the Salescenes brick base and the Dapol tank on top, could be built open ended to straddle the line at the side, just a thought. Good progre...

Re: Another TV show?

Another TV company cashing in on our wonderful hobby, wonder what sort of a job they will make of this one. Oh stop being such a grumpy g*t, Sick Drawbridge's show wasn't all that bad! ;) We've done quite well for railway programmes recently, and only trainspotting live required viewing from behind...

Re: cork underlay

It depends a lot on your baseboard, i find that it is useful if you are using chipboard, but not really required with plywood,

Right Jim, time for you to go and take a long holiday away from the layout so that us mere mortals can catch up! :D

This standard and pace of modelling is really showing me up.

Re: Girder bridge sides

I was thinking more like the peco lk-10. Plate girder bridge sides. Thanks for the reply though Thanks Dan Ah! Sorry didn't read the post properly. I make my own plate girders from Plastic sheet, it is not difficult and you just have to make sure you keep the proportions correct. The Peco sides bei...

Re: Lembras's layout

Agree with Mountain that a siding (or two) would improve operational interest, as it is it would just be a case of watching the train go round (m...
