Re: St Eval & St Merryn

Hey mate, looks good, I really like the railways at war scenarios. Be good to see it progress.

Re: The life and death of Jumble Wood (and me..)

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Yeah, I think a fiddle yard loop and sidings will enhance operation greatly. Not much progress to report as I've been bullied in to some DIY!

Thanks,

Re: The life and death of Jumble Wood (and me..)

Hi all,

Just some update pics, I have been working on the back scene/retaining wall section, it look OK but not 100% complete yet. Just adding small details around the layout at the moment.

Thanks

D

Re: The life and death of Jumble Wood (and me..)

just some pics of recent progress..pretty happy with things so far, except the car park which needs sorting.. started to work on security fencing and the depot area a bit more, need to add a raised concrete area in there. I got some maroon Lima coaches to go with the 47, couplers are the same, they ...

Re: The life and death of Jumble Wood (and me..)

well what a difference a day makes.. I thought I'd start my Class 47 project as my layout is drying off. I must be starting to actually learn a few things as I have successfully managed to install a decoder in to this Lima Class 47! :D not overly impressive for some I guess but it's a big step for m...

Re: The life and death of Jumble Wood (and me..)

Just thought I'd add a close up of the weathering I was on about, as you can see I am by no means an expert but it's at least looking like it's been in service.. the lighting is still a bit poor though.. I'll probably come back to these in a few weeks and try some rail match stuff..

Re: The life and death of Jumble Wood (and me..)

Just thought I'd check in with an update. Things seem to be going well. I have got the main part of the platform done and started to add base textures and ballast to the baseboard. I have just stuck it all down today so I guess its just a waiting game. I have also weathered some wagons for the layou...

Advice about glue(s) needed!

Hi,

It's not strictly a kit I am building, I am updating a Lima Class 47 with some Shawplan brass etchings and I was wondering what is the best glue to stick the brass to the plastic body? I have grilles, nameplates and head code panels to add to the loco.. any advise greatly appreciated!

Re: The life and death of Jumble Wood (and me..)

There is something about this layout plan that I really like I am now watching with interest Thanks mate The Pacer looks nice - even if the prototype doesn't appeal to me (or most people). I like the mixture of concrete and wooden sleeper track. Is the cat Preiser or Noch? :) ha the cat is just a n...

Looking good! I hope the high level is removable, or ballasting into tunnel will be a pain! lol Check out my web site, you might find some good insight for electrics planning, for your next stage. Not sure about the un-edged ply at the back? P.S. I am an Electrical Engineer and I was baffled by my ...

Re: The life and death of Jumble Wood (and me..)

Hi folks, Not updated in a while so thought I'd post a couple pics, of recent progress. Work has been a little slower due to work and having to order in some more point motors, a new solder iron set and other bits and bobs.. I have completed the wall I was blabbing on about and I am pretty happy wit...

oh, I think I understand what you mean.. I guess I should just buy one signal and test it out.. can anyone recommend a simple LED signal? it's a bit of a mine field for me at the moment.. des Try Berko. Or their kit version Eckon which are quite simple to put together. Alternatively try signals fro...
