Re: New Stephenson Rocket

There was one train pack I saw in eBay for £650+ and I do worry about who would pay that much when the same thing was available for just over quarter of the price also on that site. I preordered two blue rocket coaches on hattons when hornby announced them so i wouldn't miss out and have to pay ridi...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Hello All! Just thought I'd post to say I'm still alive AND making scenic progress on the layout but I'm back at work working 4pm to 10pm and its insane how busy it is for a pandemic. Also my netbook laptop thing overheated the other day and now half the keyboard does not function. However the usb p...

Re: Wandle Park

That EMU is tasty :P looking good, I especially like those sections of railings on the stepped levels of the low relief backscene, I'd be well jealous of the view the dwellers of those houses must have had!

Re: Updating the venerable Triang L1 4-4-0

Wow, she really does look stunning! Wouldn't mind doing something like that but with my panting skills I don't think it'd come out much better than the Triang xD Really is a beauty though, much better than some RTR detailed stuff I've seen actually.

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Repairs So a few weeks ago I was rather upset by an incident where my practically new 14xx No.1424 had a heavily smoked failure, here are some pics of that day: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49993536022_7869bb92d3_o.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49993285141_84ca21939b_o.jpg https://...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Just a little update from a few weeks back in May when we still had the sunshine when I received a new arrival for the railway. Bought this on ebay to go with my WW2 era and to use my my Dublo green suburbans (I'll pretend they are SR as well as BR(SR) ) as the R1 is the obvious choice for the Dublo...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Wow that cat looks like he could be doing some damage :o. Luckily ours don't pay any attention to my railway :D He usually stays away from the 00 as it is too built up, I caught him asleep in the sun by the goods yard having knocked stock over and some off of the layout and I made an agreement he c...

Re: Trix Twin Railway.

Alexander - you may be interested to know that your Trix four-wheeler body was only made between 1936 and 1939. Trix made a four-wheel Full Brake to accompany it and both can be found in LNER livery, also. A bit of history you have there. Tony I wouldn't mind acquiring a few of each type in each li...

Re: A 1944 themed layout

Thank you Alex, I appreciate your kind comment but please don't underestimate your skills, I always enjoy your updates and your layout is excellent work, as a lot of others on here are, just that we all model in different ways to achieve different scenes. Dave Thanks, I really appreciate the praise...

Re: Trix Twin Railway.

Managed to get some pics of the TTR Coach I have, it's perfect for the brewery train as it's nice and short and fits in the sidings which are also fairly short and the coach length matches up quite well with my army Ruston. It also turns out that the Ruston works over all of the trackwork on the lay...

Re: Trix Twin Railway.

That pullman looks rather lovely. I used two have two lner prewar (I think) coache s that were TTR that had weird couplings on them that had wheels that disintegrated and have been relocated to someone elses collection. I had a red TTR suburban sirt of coach once too I think that was given replaceme...

Those gardens and the trees beyond are brilliant, I could never hope to achieve that, love the contrasting neatness of the gardens and wilder area beyond.
