Re: Hornby flogging another dead horse

Given that for the Steam Punk range they used the Mid Suffolk Light Railway Mendlesham Station (from the museum down the road of where I grew up) building from the main range (Which I still need to acquire for nostalgia purposes) there is a chance that weirdly you could replicate/cosplay something f...

Slight Rewind Back To The....Brewery Siding?! Noticed that I never posted anything about making up the brewery siding after knocking through the cliff. First up, just a view of how the lighting is managed in the brewey building itself: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50512742317_88d6885a4d_z.jpg...

Well there you are Muggins !! Answers from the two guys that have been there, done it and even burnt the odd decoder !! I can't fault a word uttered. Some will no doubt be surprised at Flashbang having the courage to mention the Hornby Select. Geoff T It did stick in my throat and my hand shook on ...

As the old saying sort of goes, "If a Cow is worth milking well miked it will be" or they just found loads of unsold stock and are trying to push them again now that online buying has given them a boost financially, after all these are all paid for so selling them is all profit now 8) The...

Is this what you are after? https://www.hattons.co.uk/188002/hornby_r6176_u_4_freight_crates_pre_owned_imperfect_box/stockdetail.aspx If so, there are not many available online right now (probably would be tonnes at exhibitions/swapmeets), except for some I did find, but they are maybe a bit too far...

Re: Hatton's Original Class 66 OO gauge

I opted for the new Hornby 'Freightliner" yellow and green version which I bought from the New Railway Modellers shop site as the Hattons ones were twice the price and looked thrice as fragile. I haven't read much about them but as a person who finds themselves window shopping Hattons several t...

Re: Blue Pullman Reborn.

I think this would be a good choice for a train set, a re-do of the gwr hst set they put out, or a railroad range train pack with additional coaches. I feel like the railroad range would be better, what with Triang/Triang Hornby's toy heritage and the Triang Blue Pullman set from the past. It does l...

This looks great, seriously impressive. Loving the stonework and the walls, the texture and colour are very well captured. I also very much like the harbour walling with the wooden posts.

I look forward to seeing how it looks with the rails down :P

Thanks, I built the antiques shop but left it as antiques due to my interest in antiques shows and history stuff, but did a proper window display, but that's another story....

You've done a wonderful job. A (silly) question: All your photos are in the mist...or do I need new glasses ? :D It's not silly, it is true, but then again you do get mists near the Sea :P It is in fact down to my phone being knackered, with a smashed screen and scratched up camera lenses, it canno...

Well done.

Thanks, sadly the 61XX has had a failure and is currently in the future projects box. Must work on some more updates.
