Re: cv adjustment

I have a Lima EWS 37 I'd like to get TTS'd one day, commenting to say thanks for the advice (and to bookmark it into my 'Your posts' section :P

I do wonder whether the TTS will be audible over the Lima growl?

Thanks,
Alexander

Re: Hornby, Imperial Airways Set

The old Hornby/Triang southern bogie luggage van in that train pack has old style tension lock couplers. In my experience hornby superdetailed pullmans with lights have a coupling socket which hangs too low to couple to anything anyways. I wonder if new hornby railroad mk1 bogies would swap into the...

Re: Hornby R9926 passenger coaches

Now classed as 'Railroad' style, those are ex-LNER Gresley teaks painted in BR blood and custard (I think) and date from like 1988 for the earliest vesion of E18276 produced (going by the Hornby guide).

Re: Dad-1 - Workbench - West Bay Wagon Works

Just the excuse I need to drag out the RM back numbers from around 1970, see if there's any Ratio adverts that might throw some light on the 1500 series, or if it never got further than 1501! Cant be certain but came across a reply to a post on here about lost ratio rolling stock kits where 'mahoga...

New Acquisitions Opening the post here are some new items of rolling stock. Firstly I managed to acquire a new Sodor Scrap Co. wagon: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50298753428_2f65311aae_w.jpg (Okay, so maybe not that impressive but it was unusually cheap and I had to sell mine in the past so...

So, we never got to go to Cornwall this year I'm off there tomorrow. Always nice to add some to the fleet though, and your fleet is getting nice and large. I don't think I've seen one of those types of brake vans before. Almost looks American. Thanks End2end The lady of the house has enco...

What We Didn't Do On Our Holiday! So, we never got to go to Cornwall this year but we did manage to get a refund on our holiday payments. We decided to split the money between myself, Sid and the kids so we could all get something to make up for not going anywhere. I'll get to what I got in a minut...

Hornby (old) Terrier Maintainance Apologies in advance, for at this point the camera on my phone has started to get really bad with blurriness/light issues so some photos are not the clearest. Now then, this post is about my two remaining old style terriers, my Hornby Thomas and Friends 'Stepney' a...

So it was Father's day and Sid had bought me a present from the girls (on ebay with my railway budget as I was being indecisive as usual) but what neither of us, nor the seller as it turns out, were expecting was the rough treatment this poor locomotive was to suffer in transit: https://live.staticf...

Work begins on the brewery branch extension! Yes, now that I can post again, here are some long overdue photos to catch up with my progress. We'll start with this overhead shot of the cliff and where the brewery line is to come through: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49992774023_fdca7cb991.jpg...
