Re: The Great Model Railway Challenge

Flip sake 5 keep rearranging the schedule making it earlier and earlier, I missed last weeks episode because stuff was clashing and I'd already missed half by the time I got home and then had to sort out dinner, this week I will probably miss it because it is going to be on too early, if the final ...

Re: A permanent 00 layout at last?!

The benefit of having time to contemplate my designs means I can try and produce something that I can be happy with. I kept feeling like the layouts I had designed would be fairly cramped so I had a go at designing something a little less packed. I'm not saying that I'd definitely opt for this but i...

Re: Hattons Announces 4 and 6 wheel coaches

Great idea from Hattons, although it's odd that there are no LBSCR liveries listed seeing as there are three LBSCR livered RTR loco's available at the moment (4 if you count the many second-hand E2's out there). I actually had this thought over my coffee just now and came to see if it had been said...

Here is a link to the page, which details the different liveries and future ones to be released.

Hattons Announces 4 and 6 wheel coaches

As part of something called Project Genesis Hattons Model Railways have announced with over 300 variations, priced roughly above the £30 these won't be available until 2021, time to get saving?

Re: A permanent 00 layout at last?!

I've been having a think and decided I'd add in a 009 tramway, a private-ish line running from the colliery, around the rocks and past the entrance where standard gauge locos come in and then past a siding where coal wagons can be reversed into a gas works siding, then continue on past the station (...

That plan looks like a lot of fun to me. The basics of it are not that dissimilar to Little Weldon which I am really enjoying.

Thanks, I'm hoping to at least have the boards sorted before Christmas for sone festive running.

Re: 48DS first impressions

If it was at Burnside (just up the Windermere line from Carnforth) it would have been on the internal lines a James Croppers paper works. There have been a couple of PO wagons produced in the Cropper livery. It appears to be the case yes, I'll have to keep an eye out for the wagons, thanks for the ...

Re: 48DS first impressions

I do like the look of these, a friend of mine owns a real one, so I'm going to wait and see if they will release his one as a livery variation in future ... The owner should only send a picture or two to Hornby, if he hasn't been in contact with them already. He's getting it painted and named first...

Re: A permanent 00 layout at last?!

I've been experimenting with old and new ideas and I've designed a 6 by 4 based on the layout I had as a kid with a few extras to aid operation, it's a tad wider but a bit shorter than what I had before, but features a coal mine in the middle, a tunnel, a station, passing loop, shed, goods shed and ...

Re: Hornby 2019 Collectors Club Model

Ohhh, sorry, my apologies, just so used to it being the 06 with the collectors club. Still, highly unlikely to be an accurate representation of a specific locomotive, I see it is very pretty, the '19' is because it is the 2019 model. Alexander. P.S. Apologies again for such a foolish error on my par...
