Thanks for the replies...i think im slowly figuring it out

The other issue i have, which may or may not be connected is, if i leave a loco across the join in the boards then it shorts as well, as in, front bogie on 1 board and the rear bogie on the other..... whats the fault here?

Ok nhere is my question from the layout thread, Manor Lane was originally a DC layout with isolation sections, now its been converted to DCC for the points but when the points are switched some areas will short through the electrofrog points I have been told that I need to cut the Vee and add some B...

The arches are Wills kits with the same style sheets to fill in the gaps.Weathered with watery paint.Turned out not too bad

Torbay Rd TMD

D&F retire in May and Paisley model centre has dramatically reduced his railway stock,not good at all for this area

I like this layout,and in actual fact thinking of using it as a rough blueprint for a new layout for us. i like the idea of it round the full room,gets the loco's a decent run :D

On this subject... i run standard hornby OO gauge track and at a recent show i was intending to buy some plasticard sheets but wasnt sure exactly what thinckness to get... 60/80? the 80 seemed a bit thick i thought... any ideas anyone?

Hi Paul, great layout mate. I think its great you took the time to tell us the story of the original layout etc,which im sure would have been hard for you. It gives the current layout some history and a sense of feeling to it, and i would reckon your Dad would be very proud of what you have achieved...
