Re: Blueberry's new track plan

Thanks for all your replies Gentlemen. It's a switching layout where the famous "timesaver" rules will never apply here. The scenery will be mostly the same as seem on the photo above. Then I’d keep the nice triangle shape between the top two spurs as you have in the first desig...

Re: Blueberry's new track plan

For me the question is not which is better but which fits your theme/scenics better. The upper design has more interesting shapes between lines to use for scenery but if you are just going to Ballast across the shapes the more uniform 2nd design would make more sense especially with the short run ar...

Re: Trucks in a Tizzy

Seren plays with them more than I do at the moment we have a big loop in the loft which she will turn on whenever the loft is open although she wont do the track cleaning up there! At some point I will get something that can be dragged around by a train and it will make it interesting for her!

Re: Trucks in a Tizzy

It’s taken 2 years but I spent another £3.90 on another piece of flex track. This meant I could correct the length of one piece and abandon the sections which were cut to allow the boards to seperate. The joins were causing the rails to continually pop out of the sleepers. New total = £162.51 I shou...

Re: Quietly things happen

Quietly... I've used some 2nd hand flex track I bought years ago from this site to make a single loop and Emily got a quick run out. Need to connect the bus and clean the track for better running. https://image.ibb.co/cgzppF/IMG_0403.jpg https://image.ibb.co/iAPYGv/IMG_0400.jpg https://image.ibb.co/...

Re: Trucks in a Tizzy

I've not been up to much between times Moving house getting it sorted and leaving work to study music (and later be fully self unemployed composing) With things staring to get a bit straight I can do some more train bits. I've just downloaded some software to start designing the loft layout too but ...

Re: Trucks in a Tizzy

So I have put all the pictures back in this thread so it's up to date and noticed an accounting omission. the total stood at £101.50 however a replacement point was needed and not added in so I think this will be about £8.50 which helpfully makes the total £110. Spent some time today looking ...

Quietly things happen

So having nearly owned the house for a year something is happening very quietly in the loft. What it is and what it will be are not yet known but definitely looks like the sort of construction that might appear here..... http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g325/mrhstudio/Quiet/PC030012.jpg http://i1...
