Phew!! Found out what was causing it!! Just a stray strand of wire causing a short :roll:

Small problem, I wired it up today. All the point motors worked once when the switches where used, But now it's not working :? I've got 18.2 volts going into the CDU from a old DC train controller.

Help please!!!

I got a point motor control panel made for my layout by a mate who's a chippy. Today got the switches fitted to it, All I'm waiting for is the wire and connectors to arrive from the bay of e :wink: and it will be wired up :)

I have a Select and sound locos, You can't use any sound fuction above 9 with a Select, Sorry mate.

Been in touch with Bachmann and they tell me it is the decoder that is fried and it's just out of warranty :cry: Approx £100 to repair :evil:

Point/CDU/Switch wiring

I have decided to not use DCC for my point motor control after all the problems I have had. So I have got 15 SPDT centre bias toggle switches and a Gaugemaster CDU and I am going to do it the tried and trusted way. I have a basic idea on how to wire everything. But could anyone give me instructions ...

Hi Andy Nice to see you not only have made good progress but also have a more than willing helper! :wink: Will you be doing soem scenery bits soon, only it seems really dark at the moment! Careful or some scale transient goth types might try to relocate there before you know it! :lol: Cheers fella....

Not done much with the layout itself lately.

But I am in the process of mounting it on a hinges onto the wall so it can be folded up and down when not in use.

I've reset the unit and now the loco is just *dead*.

Think I'll be phoning Bachmann in the morning.
