Re: Cobalt Point Motors

since there is a non supply of the dcc model, I am now leaning towards the analog type. I think I understand that the IP version is an improvement on the |Omega, has anyone any views on this subject.

COBALT ANALOG POINT MOTORS

Probably a long shot, but I am seeking the above DCP-CPIP version of point motors not the OMEGA, as I am starting a new project. Thought it might be worth a punt here before I tackle the major retailers. Going to need around the 18 mark to complete. Alan.

Re: Cobalt Point Motors

Well it seems that there are no new versions to be had in the country, everyone is out of stock. Plan B is to pursue the previous versions in the analogue range but there seems to be some variations to which I am unsure of. Ideally I wish to have a live frog polarity switch built in and an output to...

Re: Cobalt Point Motors

Many thanks Rog, if the answer is as simple as that, then I might as well pay the extra pennies and go for the newer version.

Cobalt Point Motors

Needing some advice before I commit to buy regarding Cobalt Motors. Just had a look a the new stock,DCP-CB12DIP motor, says it's a digital model as compared to previous ones which are stated as being analog. Obviously there must be a difference as the new types are far more expensive, so could anyon...

Re: Gaugemaster Prodigy

Just an update on my prodigy units. Gaugemaster was happy to repair these at a price which meant I either had to post them or take them down in person. However I decided to open up the units and then unscrewed the motherboard, I then decided to drop 2 or 3 drops of meths down each side of the rotary...

DCC Autofrog

Hi all. I would like to install a Peco double slip with live frogs and have just discovered Gaugemasters DCC80 autofrog. Would the two be compatible with each other, the instructions suggest that you just connect it to the track with two solder joints and the third connection is simply attached to t...

Gaugemaster Prodigy

Hi all. Got a problem with a couple of hand held throttles. The rotary throttle knob on both controllers have become very unresponsive to date resulting in me having to use the up and down buttons instead. Bit odd that both are suffering the same problem, is this a common fault with Gaugemaster I wo...

21 pin direct decoder

Hi all. I have 4 x emu's all fitted with a Bachmann direct 21 pin decoder, I think it is a 36-557 decoder and it's come to my attention that there are very basic cv adjustments available notably cv5...top speed. I have to raise the speed steps to 128 to obtain a realistic departure from a start I re...

Re: ADAMS RADIAL WITH SOUND

My dealer is a good friend of mine and the discount he offered me compensates the problem in my opinion. I am quite happy to replace the speaker for a quality one from Youchoose, the only thing I need advice on now is how to remove the speaker from the body.

ADAMS RADIAL WITH SOUND

Hello all, just dug deep into my pockets and purchased the new Oxford Rail Adams Radial with sound on board. The decoder is a Loksound V.4 but the speaker is unknown. I don't know about you, but the quality of sound from this speaker is crap, it sounds so tinny compared to my stock fitted with Zimos...
