Antics Worcester,closing?
Someone told me that they were in there today and were told that the shop will be closing in a few months. Wether or not its the whole chain or just the Worcester branch I dont know but it might be worth keeping an ear to the ground just in case the stock gets sold off cheap  If it is just ...

Re: "Small End" 00 gauge layout
Well, two weeks later and the Bachmann site office I had won on ebay never turned up. I did get a refund from the seller but it has been very irritating as I still need that building :( Likewise the engine shed has also proved to be quite elusive so I haven't sone much more on this, ballasted the bott...

Re: OO gauge 6 x 4.5ft oval layout
You will find that in sectional track systems like Hornby or Peco the layouts rarely "line up" correctly if they are more than a very basic oval.
It is excepted that there is enough "give" in the track to get it together leaving a bit of a gap in some track joins here and there.

Re: Bachmann single road servicing shed - WOW!
Just spent some of my Christmas money on this resin product and can only say WOW - what a beauty! It surely has to be a must for anyone modelling a modern locomotive stabling/repair facility. The detailing is superb and the weight of the model alone means that it seems to sit in rather than on my l...

Re: "Small End" 00 gauge layout
G'Day Gents A nice 3D bit of art there, I wouldn't use to much color (green) except weeds, and maybe a couple of scrawny 6 to 8 feet high Silver Birch trees, they are always the first tree to grow in railway yards, blackberries, are another. I used to work into the big marshaling yards around North...

Re: "Small End" 00 gauge layout
More work done  The security fencing was a total nightmare to assemble and I broke a couple of bits but it wasn't a total disaster. I have tried to make this layout look dirty and grubby and not as clean as my previous attempts. I have laid the other two short bits of track, the one has some...

Re: Working Catenary
There was a Lima class 86 that I had when I was about 12  that had a working catenary,it was also sprung loaded. It had a switch on the roof that you could switch between rail pick-up as normal or when you threw the switch you would fit the +ve feed to the overhead wire (although no-one made ...
