Re: Loch Vàth, my 00 gauge Layout.

Obviously time well spent - perfect! I also haven't been here for some years, but was notified of your Post. I gave up the hobby a long while back and now do not have the facilities to restart - seeing your work rather makes me wish I could.
Thanks for the video.

Re: Micro layout in O-16.5

Nice to hear from you again whynot - and sorry to hear about your family issues - I have an idea what you are going through as 2019 has been difficult in that regard for us too (and continuing into 2020 :( ). I recommend a small micro layout as the perfect re-beginning to start you on the road to m...

Re: Micro layout in O-16.5

My first visit here in some years - no "activity" either. (Difficult family health issues and bereavement.) Vaguely wondering about a very modest re-beginning.... and I see this wonderful, small, inspiration! Excellent stuff. I shall ponder. Thanks for the eye-opener.

Re: Tilley Yard South, Chicago, Winter 1956

Rob, this remains my favourite layout, so sad to see it end. But rest of life and especially health takes precedence, so I don't doubt that you are doing the right thing. PM me with signposts when you come to sell?

My very best wishes for the future, modelling or otherwise.

Re: The story of PETERSDALE my OO gauge Branch Line layout

I rarely drop by here and no modelling for months......but I do love this layout. Just looks so "open" and spacious. If I could do anything a tenth as good I might even kick-start myself back into some activity! Thanks for the photos.

Re: 3D Printed LNER Locomotives in N gauge

I know very little about 3D printing, but enough to say that this is very fine (in both senses) workmanship. Given the scale - remarkable. Good luck with your health issue.

The Hornby is quite a nice runner! It was the "start" of all this - herself bought it for me 5-6 years ago! Bits and pieces of work in progress as and when I feel like it...... http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p56/wasnti/SeptemberRlwy/14Oct%201_zps01u4eouc.jpg http://i125.photobucket.com...

Re: Otley and Ilkley Joint Railway 1940

Nice! Looks as if you will indeed "...incorporate the railway track into a 'realistic' landscape ..."

"Big country" scenery coming along very well I'd say.

Re: A Small Project...

Track down and wired...had a tunnel kit on the shelf, so boxing in the curve! The fiddle yard is part of the view, so that will in effect be another small layout with some scenics... The yard end is a bit cramped and no obvious road access, but just have to accept the depth is foreshortened! http://...

Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

While my trainspotting days were short-lived (and mainly combined with playing football adjacent to the Middy almost where it crossed the Buxton line at Hazel Grove) by some inexplicable accident I still have my Summer 1960 Combined ABC which reveals that I must have seen "48735" some time...

Re: Heljan commissioned to do O for Hattons.

I suppose it hinges on how well Hattons have done their research. I'm not sure that "price" is a real issue. For many (most?) serious railway modellers it is already clearly a money no object hobby - especially those who collect locos. There are those in this parish who are both able and w...

Re: A Small Project...

Small project, small progress! Boards in place and lined up - simple bolt and wing nut joining, easily disconnected by pulling one track join apart. Very simply wired and running. R1 curves look awful but do not seem to present any reliability issues. http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p56/wasnti/Se...
