Stewart Hi Stewart. Thx for suggestion, I could do that to some of the buildings to create a more 3d effect. Had a lo...

Re: My first model railway build.

Personally I think if you customize the buildings as you go along so you don't have 2 the same it will look fine. Maybe bring a couple out into the layout a bit if you have space(Give it a bit of depth etc)? But at the minute they are all too uniform if you catch my drift? Get a bit of variation in ...

Re: Railway Quiz

Stewart got it in one! He's obviously visited Woody Bay. Over to you Stewart. Never been there! Just had a slight guess from all the attention it's been having as of late. I'll think of one and post it up asap. Stewart EDIT: here is that question. The line to Aberystwyth is now classed as the mainl...

Re: Railway Quiz

Right,

Here is said question... a nice easy one(?)

When it was constructed in 1863 it was the deepest cutting in the world. What is it's name?

Re: My first model railway build.

Hi Marcus, Nice layout you have here and really shows off the benefits of N gauge showing much fluidity and activity in the space you've got. One small suggestion? perhaps make the 2 adjacent staircases on the bridges into 1 double width one (cut down the walls on the sides) and then have it as eff...

Re: Chris (Emettman)'s February 2015 competition thread.

I will envy you so much if you can pull Victoria off well. (I live 1 mile away from the western end of the P&H tramway) The 45mm version by roundhouse is lovely.

Good luck with whatever one you build.

Re: My W.A.G.R layout in N scale - grades?

perhaps, add various Weights to the carts gradually? As then, when the wheels start spinning you know how much weight each loco can haul up the grade.

Hope this helps

Stew.

Re: My W.A.G.R layout in N scale - grades?

I wouldn't say so. It's more gradual than mine, and mine is in OO. :P just try it with the longest length trains you're most likely to run on the line, then if that gets up it fine, anything will. :)
