G'Day Gents

For some reason or another. it's the first time I've seen this thread, so with a big Apology 'flying scotsman 123' carry on with your excellent work, there are many inspirational themes and something for everyone, loco building, coaches and brilliant buildings.

G'Day Gents,

Rather make loco bodies, than steps, One good thing about Edgware..........No signal box, but you have made a beauty.

Re: Fourways - A Micro Circle

G'Day Gents

An enjoyable little layout with plenty of scope, I would like to see (if that is not to bold) a heavily industrialized 1/4, where it pops out between two buildings and then in to another tunnel or under a bridge .

G'Day Gents

Edgware GN, is 20' x 8' and is very easy to operate, but it is a roundy round, and single line, with three controllers, and 'Digit' (finger) operated points.

G'Day Gents

You've got your work cut out, if you want it all running for Christmas, but that's what model railways are all about, you want it, go for it. Good luck, and I hope your son enjoys it, mines 42, (not Autistic, but my grandson is) I bought him a Class 128 Parcels DMU.

Re: Edgware GN,

G'Day Gents The Somersault signals are scratchbuilt, and are about 35 years old, they are all brass (except the post) Here's a couple more, if you download them and then enlarge them you'll get a better view, they are very small. And non working, one day I might get round to building some new ones t...

Re: Edgware GN,

G'Day Gents

As a matter of fact it has  I've reused a overbridge from my Mill Hill snow layout, but I haven't got around to scraping the snow off. I will be getting to that bit shortly.

Re: Edgware GN,

Thanks for the replies, and glad to hear I've inspired someone (GeraldH).

I've been doing a bit of scenery, along side 'The Hales' goods yard, being 'open plan' it's easy to reach, see what you think.

Re: The story of PETERSDALE my OO gauge Branch Line layout

G'Day Gents I can remember, signing on early one morning a Leeds station and travelling out to Nevill Hill depot to pick up my train, (expecting a old first gen DMU) then wandering about the yard looking for it, only to find a brand new class 156 unit sitting there, with the plastic sheets still on ...

Re: Edgware GN,

G'Day Gents. Ben a while since I posted. I've been ballasting (still) almost finished, just a bit to go in the goods yard at Edgware, and six feet of scenery, (cutting sides) have been constructed and covered with kitchen towel, now it's time to get messy with plaster, but more of that when it's don...
