Re: Gateside and Northbridge (Incorporating the Allanshaw Inglenook)

G'Day Gents Good thinking Jim, I'm lucky, my layout is at ground level (part of a large shed) All I have to do is get down a (wheelchair access ramp) walk across the garden, and up one step, the wheelchair ramp, I built a couple of years ago, in case my back goes permanently, a bit of foresight can ...

Also started another loco, always a couple on the go, the C1 has progressed, as I've been on holiday in Queensland, I was think while I was away of a chassis to fit the J17, when I got back I dived int...

Re: Edgware GN,

G'Day Gents Hi Jim, I try to, but not always, as there's nothing available, the J3 and 4. I took the dimensions from the 'K's' J3, the D2, O1, C1&2 those came from the 'Railway Modeller' some are from drawings off of the net that I have managed to scale to my needs, The J17, is all guesswork, as...

Re: Edgware GN,

G'Day Gents Busy, Busy, Busy, on almost everything except model railways :o so not a lot has happened on the Atlantic, although I've managed to make the splasher. The J17 has had a bit of time spent on it, chimney replaced with a chimney from 'Thomas' who is now running around 'Topless' !! the front...

Re: Edgware GN,

G'Day Gents

Have stopped work on the J17, waiting parts from the UK. So back to the Atlantic, cab, boiler and running plate are now all glued together and the firebox, I think it's a fraction high, I might be able to lower it a bit, but not much, or I'll leave the top of the boiler to thin.
