Re: Galgorm Hall 00 Gauge Loft Layout

G'Day Gents

Looking good, like the way the branch sweeps around and under the main line, but where dose it go after it enters the tunnelmouth ?

Re: Edgware GN, A tale of 2 loco's.

G'Day Gents Thanks coopslner, here's an update on the J3's. Not a lot done to the loco's except for new brass chimney, I've been concentrating on the tenders, the black tender with LNER on it came from the J1, I just made a chassis for it, I wasn't happy with it behind the J1, I'll make another one ...

G'Day Gents

If Hornby were that smart, they would bring out a later version of the P2.

Re: Edgware GN, A new Vehicle !!

G'Day Gents I hinted a while back, that I had two loco's on the go, then put them aside to finish the J57 and the railcar, so now I've restarted the other two loco's, as expected there Ex GN loco's, two J3's to be exact, The first is a recycled 'K's' loco, that I finally gave up on, I couldn't get i...

Re: Edgware GN, A new Vehicle !!

G'Day Gents The optical illusion is in fact the seats, it has had an interior fitted, including the drivers cubical. These little Park Royal rail buses, worked the Hitchin-Bedford service in the late 50's and early 60's until they closed the line, a very interesting line, J1's J15's worked the line,...

Re: Edgware GN, A Few Pics.

G'Day Gents Not one for letting the grass grow under my feet, I've been bashing along with another 'vehicle' that may have worked on the Edgware branch if it had stayed open long enough, my reasoning being it was run down from Hitchin on Saturday night to work the line on Sunday..................wel...

Re: Edgware GN, A Few Pics.

G'Day Gents Dad-1, I often do just a little bit a day (got to let it dry) you soon get it done. A bit more fiddling with the J57, the back end is a bit high, reused the cab interior, but when the smaller wheels get here (could take months) think she looks better in black with her number, there's no ...

Re: Weird Stuff On The railways. What Have You Seen?

G'Day Gents Being Ex BR, it helps. Arrived for work at KX one day and saw five Deltics lined up at the buffers stops, saw three Deltics coupled together, with all engines running, trying to get on the KX passenger loco, a very tight squeeze in the milk dock. Watched my loco (a class 31) sinking into...

Re: Edgware GN, A Few Pics.

G'Day Gents Here's a new loco, that I'm working on, a J57, the last one was scrapped about 1930!. the GN had these built to collect goods trains from the East London docks, they had to pass under a low bridge at Stratford, so the cabs, chimneys and domes were lowered, they had smaller 4' wheels as w...
