Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Phred

I get where you are coming from, it does seem a shame, but it depends what you want.

Darn sight easier building a kit, compared to scratch building, so far only spent 3 hours on it.

Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Gents With some of the major work done for the moment, it was time to finish the workbench (screw the top down) and unload the caravan of all my railway boxes (under the seat). To celebrate (?) I've dragged the N7 out of it's box and started to assemble it. I still have plenty to do, but now I...

Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Gents

Thanks for the replies. Plenty of room for my loco's to have a good work out. As far as getting Dizzy, already get that without the trains, but I look at it as two 11' x 12' layouts joined together.

This what I have to look forward to......

G'Day Gents

Had a rest day yesterday, so I picked up a pencil and paper and doodled a layout, Bounds Green is in my head, but it's to big, but I wanted to see if I could make it fit, I like the flyover and the bonus of the 'Kyber Pass'.

I have a room 22'x12' and I think it fit's

G'Day Gents

Hi Phred. The cloud of dust is my Brother in Law, can't get him off the ride on Mower.

Hi Bigmet. Still undecided where to base my railway, but it's fun thinking of all the places it could be.

Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Gents Still alive in the land of a Thousand killer animals. :D Thought you deserved an update. The block now is mainly cleared, thanks to my Brother in Law, moving onto the Block with his Caravan and rolling his sleeves up, under all that grass was a Septic tank (in need of a lid, duly fitted)...

Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Gents Work has finally started on the new workbench, bedroom 2 has a built in wardrobe, with four doors, the middle two being hanging space, the outer doors conceal shelving, the middle doors were removed and a frame built inside this was then covered with 12 ply, I now have a good sized workb...

Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Gents

The Fowler tank has the same wheelbase and wheel size as the K2, and the valvegear is closer than the V1 & K3. Only got to build the body and tender.

Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Gents Yeah you don't see many horses in school, but there are horses for courses. :D Ex-Pat, yeah I've got something in mind for the Fowler, I started on another one a few years back, going to make it into a K2, but ended up shoving a 8f body on it and making a Stanier 2-6-0, this one will end...

Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Gents

Road numbers are weird over here, where I used to to live the St name was 'Golf Course Road' Numbers 2-120, the only trouble was, it was a Horse paddock, and none of the horses could write or receive mail.

Haven't forgotten my railway, here's a few new loco's.

Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Gents Hi Ex-Pat, Good question, they don't exist, 77 & 79 would be opposite, which is the Mainline from Townsville to Mount Isa, so I can sit back and watch the Ore, Oil and Tank trains Cross right in front of me, most trains are double or triple headed, don't know what class, all Co-Co. I...

Re: Edgware GN, New loco's

G'Day Gents Hi Dad 1, I'm on the edge of a small town, bigger than Booborowie. We have running water and Power, the power to the block was cut of years ago, but I'm thinking Solar panels and Batteries might be a better way to go, as I'll only be here for half the year and it could be a few years bef...

I have to agree with Glencairn. Looks like it's been there forever.
