Re: Newburgh: Eastern Region Seaside Branch
Hi All. One month without an update! Well as i explained i'm in GCSE year so it's getting very hectic but more worryingly I've booked myself in for an exhibition next may! :? I decided to get on and do something. I've installed the point rodding using the wills kit. The kit is very easy to use and f...

Which couplings go where?
Hi All. I'm looking to detail some of my rolling stock with realistic couplings. After so research I've found the 3 main types used on the real railway pre-knuckle/buckeye types. The three link, screw link and instanter. Can someone please explain to me which locos/coaches/wagons there would be foun...

I'll be at Bridgnorth for the 7:00 am breakfast service tomorrow . You will be able to see me throughout the day. I'll either be Filming/Photographing with my Tripod and stupidly white camera or window hanging . Oh and i'll be wearing my EWS 'No Idling' hoodie!

Re: Wills Point Rodding?
Thanks, that makes a lot more sense now. Luckily for me a pack contains two FPL but i only really need two (One for entrance to station and run around loop which DMUs may run over) and the rest are used for Shunting Movements/Freight. So the rodding to actually change the point is just connected to ...

Wills Point Rodding?
Hi All. I've recently acquired some Wills Point rodding. It's an excellent kit however i'm a little confused on how to place it accurately. I'm not too sure why two bars are needed for a point? Can anyone explain how the point rodding works and what i need to do to make it look accurate?

Re: Newburgh: Eastern Region Seaside Branch
Hello All. Well my quick updates have slowed down but some progress is being made. I'm starting ballasting. I'm using Woodlands Scenics buff color fine and although it may be a little bright at the moment i will town it down later on with my airbrush. I'm using the good old fashioned method of 50/50...

Re: Newburgh: Eastern Region Seaside Branch
Hi all. Finally managed to do something on the actual layout. I started building the structure where the goods yard/fish processing place is going to be. I also added the extra walk way around the outside of where the dock will be. The sea wall will almost replicate the Aldeburgh walls. It's typical...

Re: An early 1950's ex GW rural branchline
Thanks Very Much Pete. That was really useful, i suppose if you drill the 2mm hole you can fill it in with some filler to cover the hole back up. I work at Hereford Model Centre on a Sat so i might get a look at the couplings.

Re: Newburgh: Eastern Region Seaside Branch
Hi All. Still no Ballast from Rails of Sheffield so i'm doing odd jobs at the moment. Played around with more weathering. Found some images of rolling stock in dire condition and 'attempted' to recreate them  . I also bought some model strip and started work on my old Lima DMU. Unfortunately wh...

Re: An early 1950's ex GW rural branchline
Hi Pete. I absolutely love the layout (i'm probably being biased as it's based close to me ). I must ask, what coupling are you using? They look very realistic. How easy are they to couple and decouple?

16t mineral wagon numbering.
Hi All. I've bought some Bachmann 16t unfitted wagons from Hattons. They came in a 5 pack but are all the same number. I've purchased some transfers to re-number them that came today. I'm changing the number on the left hand side but i'm not sure what the two numbers on the right separated by a hyph...
