Re: And the next photo will have...(real railway version)

For Black Friday I'll declare a "super wild card" absolutely anything that's made you smile, providing you can argue its relevance to real world railways.

Re: Is this rural light available?

If you are going to paint the solid body black, start to sanding its surface, and see how it looks before painting. just sanding might make it look white rather than transparent. If that's not enough, you could tray a thin layer of white paint, depends how much spare light output it has. We have two...

14 & 26 for me. The composition of loco and the post beneath the receding power cables is classic, and the night time depot shop is just full of atmosphere. Colour doesn't help at night!

Re: Is this rural light available?

Just measured the one by our kitchen door. The 1.8mm warm white is a better approximation to it in 4mm/00 scale. The 3mm would be pretty much to scale in 0 1.8mm_diag.jpg Bend the legs as close as you can get to the body then push them through the wall either side of the corner. Not quite the right ...

Re: More eBay nonsense...........

Looks to me as though you'll just be left with scrap timber if you try to dismantle it. Fastening the tops to the roof's structural timbers, only leaves one method of removal.

Re: class T9 chassis rot

If you have suffered this problem, and you are intending to visit the Warley show this weekend, take the second right as you enter the hall and stop at stand A18, then bend some ears. You shouldn't be able to miss the stand as it has a full size tank engine adorning it. Past representations and appe...

They seem to be working this morning, but I managed to swamp our routers* by stopping the download as soon as I could see something.

Interesting that the new CEO still retains his position with Oxford. Could Oxford Rail be the mechanism for yet another take over of the Hornby name. My understanding is that the "Oxford Factory" is owned by the parent company for whom the new Hornby CEO works.

What a fantastic resource! There are a few broken links. ............ That's what I thought until I went and looked in my Download folder, they were just taking their time, I was looking at it on my Samsung Tab2 then I notice the row of little symbols on the top line, cancelling the duplicate downl...

Re: Two Short Planks

Do I spot the signs of natural weathering Geoff? Otherwise known as dust, even Marylin looks a little work worn. My genuine Airfix half dismantled Drewry shunter has probably got the best part of 50yrs of domestic dust on the footplate and in various corners. Doesn't need weathering, any how I'd hav...
