Re: NSE days old oak
Ian vitrains a little of toy looking and noisy but can be made into a fine loco.Bachmann ready straight from the box and a good slow speed runner.Heljans seem a bit bulky but look good. 47484 has been fitted with new plates and some more lights have been added following cme (chris) comments on ligh...

Re: Deltics are Being returned to service
I'm glad they chose something that was of Proper heritage (built before BR Blue days) and something that hasn't really been seen very much on the real railways, as with the 37's, 47's etc. Now, they just need to finish the overhaul on the unique class 28, and I would pay them to use that!! :D (I li...

Re: NSE days old oak
Ian If refering to 47484 they will be etched ones from shawplan. I have also attempted fitting a form of track cleaner under 37406s fuel tanks stuck on with double sided sticky tape and can be removed and changed wene needed. This is because of certain areas that cannot be reached for cleaning by ha...

Re: NSE days old oak
So you are copying me :lol:fair play i remember 35 best in this livery, had the most mileage in this Livery, chased it from 1987 onwards so very fond memories for me. Just a suggestion why not renumber ex 035 to 034 Furious as i have the plates which i would sell to you at a reasonable cost. :D As no...

Re: Class 33/0 Rail Exclusive Upgrade
If they did them separately i would get one, but i cannot see me getting any of these packs, the hornby and other heljan ones will do. Totaly agree Kenny, much as i like Cromptons nearly £200 for twin packs only is steep and problem is i would only want one.Totaly stupid idea why only in twin packs...

Re: Railfreight 37's on Parcels or Engineers trains?
Hi guys that is what i thought tbh and despite searching 37's in Ralfreight or Later liveries are exceptionally rare on parcels trains. In fact i can not find a pic of a single one on the web. A shame realy as i would have liked a tractor, so now i am looking at Sulzer either the faithful Cromptons o...

Re: NSE days old oak
Hi Richard totaly agree the yellow on 484 is appalling in my view it looks very plastickey and Hattons want £74 oddd notes for this. You got to be joking :D if Vi trains were at around £35 or £40 tops rrrp then maybe just maybe they could beat Bachmann as the price would be a winner with the...

Re: QBR (Quarry Bank Railway) ~ Quarry Bank 00
Larry looking good you just need a Warship now in the canal
I would lend you one of mine, but it would be way out of scale
Also i think your tractor needs some modern freight stock to haul, hmm lets see, have to see what can be done about that.

Re: QBR (Quarry Bank Railway) ~ Quarry Bank 00
A week in the lakes and a trip to Carlisle resulted in a new Class 37. Ex-Sound, bachmann, £40. Didnt think it was too bad :D I'm now thinking of getting rid of the Lima 37, so in effect 37 693 replacing 37 133. not sure yet though No offence to Ian but the railfreight livery makes the vac look old...

Re: Birmingham New Street in P4
Hiya Found a pic of Rodney dated July 1987 and it still had no orange stripe so it's definately later than that. At this end of new street all platforms can go to wolves and platform changes were very common Hth Jim No again, pic could have wrong date as Rodney was first to get the orange stripe in...
