Re: The Strogaloft - Construction Begins... Again!

Really like the HST on this layout, it's looking very good indeed. I too am finding this to be a fascinating and rewarding hobby on one day and then for no obvious reason the most frustrating hobby on another day! Still, it seams that your perseverance has paid off. :)

Re: Melsinor - Have I gone One Step Too Far???? :(

Not much done on Melsinor since my last update. I've been pondering and pondering over where to put this darned viaduct, and have now settled on the position shown on my earlier updates. My reasoning for doing this is that it is so well detailed, it would be a pure waste to have it pressed up agains...

Re: Melsinor - A Developing Project

Thanks for all the replies to dat, they really do motivate me to keep on pushing ahead with this project. However, this time i'm thinking i've bitten off more than i can chew / cope with. I have to be honest here and say that rather than building it myself, i've actually purchased this viadu...

Re: MIDVILLE JUNCTION Modern 00

Hi,

I'm watching this thread with great interest! It's looking fabulous! i'll be using it for some inspiration for my layout to try to add a raised level to add some depth to mine.

Looking forward to more pictures of your progress.

Re: Melsinor - A Developing Project

So this afternoon, i have mostly been... painting and ballasting. I have made the obvious error, by stopping part way through the scene and trying to get the paint mixed to match up is a right pain in the backside  Still, as this is my first real effort at a model railway, i'm pleased with the...

Re: Melsinor - A Developing Project

Having been away with work etc, i've not had much chance to progress on Melsinor. I have however managed to find a few hours this weekend to start progressing the scenery and ballasting. So far, i'm happy with the left hand side of the mountain, but just where i've ballasted, i don't like the dark g...

Re: Small on/off illuminated switches needed :s

I managed to source some small push on, push off illuminated buttons from my local model shop today. The led's can are seperate to the switches as well! :) So, this is how the electrics are coming on... http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f26/gg8tcw/update221011001.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/album...

Re: Small on/off illuminated switches needed :s

Do you know how big they are? I can't see the dimensions on the link. If they are 20mm they'll be too big

Small on/off illuminated switches needed :s

Good morning all. I'm trying to find some small on/off switches that illuminate when in the "on" position, so I will know which rails are live etc. I've had a look on eBay but can't find any that are small enough. Ideally I'd be after something to complement my mini toggle switches which h...

Re: Melsinor - A Developing Project

Hello again. Not much of an update today. I've added a tunnel face to the Mount View Yard side of the mountain. I'm quite happy how i've been able to set it in. The points situation hasn't gone so well. I've ended up getting some insulating fishplates and am now in the process of creating an overly ...
