Servicing a DCC Locomotive
Hi all, Have a question around DCC and Servicing a Loco. I have watched some video’s on locomotive servicing and part of the servicing is placing the loco upside down, attaching an analog controller and turning it on to get the wheels turning and then cleaning them whilst they are turning. All my lo...

Bridge Suggestions
Hi all, About a year ago I created bridge arches for the bridge on my layout from Balsa Wood. I then printed a brick pattern onto Photo Glossy paper using an InkJet printer. This was then cut to the correct shape and glued to the balsa wood with PVA glue. The balsa wood arches with the paper attache...

Fixing Down Scatter
Hi all, I have spread grass scatter via the following method: 1, Give the area for grass scatter a liberal coating of PVA glue. 2. Spread the grass scatter. 3. Give it 24 hours to dry then brush off the excess. This works great but unfortunately it doesn’t take much for more of it to knock off or sc...

Re: Problems getting solder to take to copper points LED LIGHT STRIPS
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Have tried just touching it on there briefly but solder won’t take and”tin” it. I assume they are copper by their colour.
Thanks,
Dwarfboysim

Problems getting solder to take to copper points LED LIGHT STRIPS
Hi all, I am lighting my buildings using the flexible LED strip lighting that you cut at regular intervals of 3 and solder to the copper points next to the scissor mark. The problem I am having is I pull back a bit of the clear plastic to expose the contacts, put a bit of solder on the tip of the ir...

Re: Wiring/Operating Hornby R406 Signal to Point/Accessory Decoder
Hi all,
Figured it out. Program the accessory decoder port numbers and have them emit a constant power through the port. You then attach the LED signal the same as a point motor. Call up that number accessory port on the Elite and you can then switch from RED to GREEN

Wiring/Operating Hornby R406 Signal to Point/Accessory Decoder
Hi all,
Anyone know the steps involved. Is it just hooking up the red, black and green wires the same as you would a point motor, then dialing it up on the Elite or Rail Master to switch from Red to Green? What setting do you have to set the decoder ports to pulse or constant?
Thanks,
Dwarfboysim
