Re: The Bridge (The Yeoveney & Colnbridge Railway) - JOGLE

Hello all, just want to let you know that I still exist! I've had a crappy 2012 as it turns out, so I have been kept away from the YCR for quite a while. I shouldn't have been neglecting the forum however. I apologise for that... Things might be looking up next week however as I have a potenti...

Re: The Bridge (The Yeoveney & Colnbridge Railway) - A video!?!

Hi all! I suppose it's about time I poke my head back on here as it seems like a long time since I have had a chance to play with the trains up in the loft! Those who know me will know that the last four of months myself and my family have been heavily involved in fund-raising for a charity bike rid...

Re: Old Warren TMD - Interim future is now secured

Hi Chris, I know it wasn't much but its still good to see more shots of Old Warren. Where did you get the backsenes from by the way? I've had a brief look around and so far haven't found anything particularly inspiring. I liked the look of the gaugemaster scenes, but annoyingly the are not compatibl...

Re: The Bridge (The Yeoveney & Colnbridge Railway)

OK so I apologise in advance for the quality of this, it's a bit shoddily put together, but I managed to nip up into the loft for half an hour in the freezing weather to record a few loco movements on my new micro HD camera. I bought the camera to use on the bike and when I go climbing (the main mot...

Re: Welton Central & Welton West stations

Woah I've just come across this one... I'm somewhat miffed I haven't notice this wonderful model until now! After reading this thread from start to end, I must say I was saddened to hear about your father, but he would no doubt be pleased to see you continuing the hobby in his railway room! You seem...

Re: Southern Valley Railway-Up To Date

Looking good! Do you have any plans to play around with scenery/insulate and ballast the track in place? In any case it looks like a rather fun layout to play around with! :D

Well in my book that sounds like a request for the green beastie: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/27/60163_Tornado_Peterborough_7_Feb_2009.jpg/800px-60163_Tornado_Peterborough_7_Feb_2009.jpg Next will be an image of a locomotive that has duel motive power (eg can run on diesel ...

Re: The Bridge (The Y&CR) -has got the minerals; wagons that is!

Good news fellow modellers, I have just ordered a HD helmet camera so I can record parts of my John O'Groats to Lands End charity bike ride in may. How is this relevant to the Y&CR you may wonder? Cab ride videos! It will be small enough to mount on a carriage that I can push around all parts of...

Re: Wenchford III, 7mm in a loft.

Ooooh I've just caught up on this one. I don't know where to begin.. what a fantastic transformation Wenchford has undergone. It certainly looks like it could be a lot of fun watching the trains go by as you have giving yourself a lot more options with the revised layout plan. Even the scenery is co...

Re: PeterH's Great Central themed layout.

Hi Peter, I've just caught up on this one and it's good to see some developments. I did think when Bachmann launched those building packs, that they looked rather good and was interested to see someone put them into their model railway. Pricey they may be, but they look like good quality, and it has...

Re: Old Warren TMD - Interim future is now secured

Wow Chris those back scenes have really transformed Old Warren. It's given the layout so much more depth in those pictures, and they seem to blend so well at the physical edges of the scenery. I never could be bothered with mine thinking that a sky blue would suffice as I didn't want to draw the vie...

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Look at those exposed valve gears, plain footplate, straight sharp edges and that brutish charm... lovely! :P

Re: Green Wood Road. OO in a Shed

Blimey Stig must be heavy... that truck almost looks like it is bending down in the middle! You must have good lighting in that shed as 2244 looks like it is bathed in brilliant sunshine; a rather splendid picture if I might say so.

Cheers,

Stuart
