Re: Hornby "Duchess of Atholl" BR livery
According to "The Book of the Coronation Pacifics" 46231 never received maroon livery in BR days.

Re: Hornby Streamlined Princess Coronation
I wonder has anybody tried polishing to get a more glossy finish? I know when I've used T-cut to remove cab side numbers it produces a shiney finish, but I haven't tried it on the rest of the loco body!

Re: Turntable help
Sorry, yes, I misunderstood the issue - I thought he wanted it to be more realistic. I changed mine because I couldn't stand the screaming noise the motor made at a full 12 volts!

Re: Turntable help
Just turn the controller down, and it slows the speed of the motor so you can reduce the time it 'dwells', you can then either turn it down completely or speed it up 'til it reaches the next track. Less volts means slower speed, the same as a loco motor. Mine works ok just like that. (sorry Tommy). ...

Re: Turntable help
Yes you can - forget the switch and just wire it to the track output of the controller. You can then control the speed and direction.
