Wagon loads
Ay up all, been a while since I posted but I have a question. One of my favourite areas in railway modelling is wagons, from private owner right through to nationalisation. I need some inspiration so I can do some loads for mine and some ideas. So, if anyone can put up some pics it would be great! T...

Re: Hornby Scotsman makeover
Cheers for the info chaps, i'm not really all that fussed as to which classmate I transform this into, but it has the corridor tender being an older Hornby FS model. So if one of you can advise me on which loco/s were united with this type of tender i'll just choose one from those.

Re: Hornby Scotsman makeover
Well chaps thanks for your replies and useful info, it has the normal dome, so is an unmodified version. I have a few names in mind, so i'm guessing it will be one of those from the original design batch. I'm not too fussed about the left hand drive thing, as it wont really be noticeable when the lo...

Hornby Scotsman makeover
I'm looking to rename and renumber a Hornby A3 into a classmate. It's an LNER version, and was wondering where the best place is that I can get the new plates, and waterslide transfers for the cabside numbers? Any ideas chaps?

Hi all, would anyone know where I can obtain handwheels for the top of tank wagons?, as I have a couple here that have them missing, and I'd like to replace them. Preferably plastic....Cheers, Nick.

Re: Duke of Gloucester
My one is the special edition, so I expected it to be a bit better than it is, your one looks great, I'm waiting for a reply from my supplier to hopefully get it looked at or changed altogether. Although failing that, i'll fork out for some better deflectors, sort the running gear meself and just ha...

Re: Duke of Gloucester
As a couple of you have said you have purchased one of these, my one arrived in the post today and the smoke deflectors are not quite in line with the boiler, slightly toeing out at the front. When Hornby mag did their review, theirs was the same, are any of yours like that or have I got a raspberry...
