Re: My workbench thread

Always good to see work in progress mate rather than just a line up of finished stock. Keep up the good work and keep on posting.

Re: My layout.

As Jas said. It's all good!

Better to see pics of Locos under development rather than just the finished article
Would be nice to see some full loco pics as well though to get an overall taste of the finished beasts

Re: Posting topics on more than one forum

I usually post the same pics and writing on my layout posts in different forums. But you can guarantee you will get different comments tips and advice from each forum, which in turn gives you a balanced view of your progress. Re: Hood-dale Main - Back from exile!!

Hi jas
Have you had a look at Farkham? That has a station in a cutting. Maybe worth a look?

I shot this at Hartlepool you need to skip to about 5min 20 sec to see the station

Any questions (apart from why have you destr...

A Video showing various stock ascending and descending the helix Note how 37511 with its tank ballast weight removed (to allow for speaker placement)manages to climb the helix with 14 BAA and 16 MEA in tow (just a test not prototypical of course)but the 56 slips with only 9 Tilcon JGA. Re: Millfield. Attempting a layout with a helix (or two)!

Hi Thanks for the comment. The footprint for the helix is about 4ft 6 inch. To give you a further idea of size, The half round track beds were cut out of a couple of sheets of 8ft by 4ft ply so the outer radius of the track bed is about 2ft or 620mm. The track is 3rd and 4th radius Hornby set track ...
