Great to see the layout developing - your plans for the rails looks fiddley!
All the best,
James

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - New Start!
Hi,
Great to see you are having fun with the layout - I look forward to seeing the continuing development of the layout.
The underground train looks great, you've done a good job with that.
I've taken the liberty of changing the thread title!
All the best,
James

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - picture update
Thanks, As I said in my first post - I was unsure what to do with this experiment when finished, but since there are always new ideas in my mind I think I'm going to offer this layout for sale. My local shop will kindly put it on display but I thought there was no harm in offering it on here first. ...

Thanks for the comment.

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - picture update
Hi all, Very sorry its been so long since my last update but there was not much progress until I freed up some time recently. I've been looking to get some of my side projects tidied up - with the idea of selling some to generate funds. So I thought this deserved some effort on the final push to the...

Re: Bratton Lane - Inglenook
Thanks chaps.
My one regret is not having the foresight to hide the kadee magnets. It could be rectified at a later date - but not before Saturday!!!!
Regards,
James

Re: Bratton Lane - Inglenook
Hi all, I'm afraid I've been away from the forum for a while feverishly preparing Bratton Lane for its first exhibition on Saturday in Minehead. So I'm afraid this is a shameless publicity bump with a few update pictures of the recent detailing: First here are the 'grafters' grabbing a break: http:/...

Re: Now N ....10 Weeks and DoNe P15......
Seconded!
I haven't been on here for a few weeks and the progress was a real eye-opener. Every layout/project is another step down the road towards better work - judging by this the next project can't come too soon!
All the best,
James

Hi,
I always enjoy your projects - so I will follow with interest.
I too am creating an N 'roundy' in a 3' x 2' space - N is great for this - as you are showing with this.

James

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - picture update
Hi all, Managed to make some progress over the last week so here is an update. I plaster bandaged in the week as I didn't have enough time last weekend. I then painted the white landscape with my wicks brown tester pot. I was going to use normal scatter for the basic ground cover as I thought all my...

Hi,
Looking good - the more you cover the board with landscape the better it looks.
I think the hill blends pretty well with the back-scene now.

James

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - picture update
+1. I have tried it in the past but comes out in chunks! Do I just need a better knife? I use the kitchen knife! - As if little white balls everywhere didn't annoy the wife enough! (there is definitely a joke in there). Try not to cut off too much in one go - Its still rough, but the plaster bandag...

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - picture update
Hi guys, Thanks for the comments - I'll probably wait until the weekend for plaster bandaging - It will be warmer, lighter and easier during the day! Oh - it was messy - I just didn't photograph until I'd hoovered! My wife is still finding the odd polystyrene snow ball- and will probably continue to...

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - picture update
Hi all, The PVA has set and I managed to get some time to carve the blocks over the weekend. Henry the hoover was on hand to combat the mini snow storm! I take the previous point on the height of the 'grass' against the wall but for the moment I like this: http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm76/tap...
