An 009 gauge layout design
Ever since I joined this forum, one layout has inspired me more than any other. That layout is Clifton009's Llanclifton and Llanwyke which can be viewed here: http://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=18179 http://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic.php?t=13022 ...

Re: Can you bend flexi track into the radius of settrack cur
My main concern is the price difference; the set track curves are £12 but together they are the same length as one £4 length of flexi track! I do want a slightly less tight curve than the set track anyway. I was just checking it was possible. Thanks everyone for your replies!! Lots of tips in here t...

Can you bend flexi track into the radius of settrack curves?
My question is as the title really. I was wondering if flexitrack is suitable to use instead of set track curves on a tight radius. Specifically, do you think I would be able to bend Peco SL-400 track (009 gauge) into the same radius as the set track ST-412? Here's a link to the set track curves htt...

I've drawn you this, a little simpler. The purple area is a TMD with red for sheds.

Re: 00 gauge diorama layout, take two!
Thanks for the lovely comments and apologies for no updates, I've been busy kit building and will give this a whole update tomorrow! I have done a small bit of work on the road area at the back of the layout, I'll leave you with a pic of it

Re: Pre 1960s road signs
I decided to go ahead and make one on the computer, I only need 1 or 2 so I thought it was worth a try. I just redrew the original design in paint, added text in Photoshop and then boom, here's the result after careful cutting out:

Pre 1960s road signs
Hi, I'm looking for some help with pre 1960 road signs. Now I've see the hornby ones, but want to make my own. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51NwZWNh6rL._SY550_.jpg As it's quite hard to go out and measure a road sign that hasn't been seen in 50 years, could anyone help me with dimensions? I...

Yes I agree, micros seem to have so much realism. Have you seen the work of Clifton 009 on this forum?

Re: 00 gauge diorama layout, take two!
Yeah the head shunt there is very short, I did consider this when I laid the track but decided that the size of rolling stock into such a small terminus shouldn't really exceed that length. Also the shed isn't much bigger

00 gauge diorama layout, take two!
Hi everyone! My name's George and I wanted to share pics and progress on my small diorama layout. I started the layout in 2011 but recently dug it back out to finish it off! It's a tiny country terminus designed to take both passengers and goods, complete with an engine shed. The period is yet to be...

Re: great waterton 00 gauge ideas
personally, i'd say its good, but that its not terribly realistic, unless you are modelling something from the 1800s, but since you have been on this forum for a while, i assume you were aware of this. I feel this way because from the right you have what appears to be a mainline and branchline appro...
