Re: N, Goodison Wood, updates page 11
Goodison Wood is Dead and buried - A lot has happened recently which has prevented me from working on a project of this size and scale, so I have taken the decision to break the layout up and place things on hold for a while until the outlook is a little better for me where I can then possibly resta...

Re: N, Goodison Wood, updates page 11
Work has quite literally stopped dead in its tracks since I last posted. The rooms have been switched, so I now have a full bedroom for my layout, but with things coming up, namely my wedding (in 2 1/2 weeks) everything stopped to continue organising that. Since I last posted, the only thing I can s...

Re: Hunting high and low for two models
So far, I've got missing
4 pairs of scissors
A Stanley knife
A 4GB Micro SD card for my mobile.
No doubt they are all sat in plain sight, but I just cannot seem to find them!!!

Re: Milton Yard, split board in N
I can only wish that I could have a 6ft long baseboard - On my 4ft board, my station will be able to manage a 6 car (power car(s) included) but a 6 car train would look rather silly on the layout of my size, so I'm restricting things to 3/4 cars max, that is unless I can get permission from the wife...

Re: Ollie's New Layout Plan - Formerly Kidderminster
I can only dream about having a layout that size. I'm lucky to have a layout 42x29inches! Will definitely be keeping an eye on your progress.

Re: N, Goodison Wood, updates page 11
Just a quick post to say work has been placed on hold for a few days as we are relocating the kids to a different bedroom (my train room - straight swap) on a different floor of the house (3 storey town house - they are currently on the middle floor and moving to the top of the house) At the moment,...

Re: N, Goodison Wood, updates page 11
Better update As I mentioned yesterday, most of the components for the control panel arrived. Today, the work started to put them together! It took me two hours to draw the diagram on top, ensuring it was centred and looked good enough to stay on there for a good while. It would have only taken 30 m...

Re: Point Motors, CDU, SPDT + push to make switches - questions
Mimic track plan with the points can be easily made by using self adhesive car lining tape (pin stripe tape). I have used the 2.0mm or 2.5mm wide versions in various colours successfully . Last question on things to buy - regarding the above, is this the car lining tape you are talking about? http:...

Re: Point Motors, CDU, SPDT + push to make switches - questions
ORDER HAS BEEN PLACED!!! Thank you to both Flashbang and UK_Apollo for all the help you guys have given in the last few days - Without the help and advice, I probably would have bought the wrong things to set up the control panel of mine. I ended up buying the 9v 300mah AC/DC PSU from Rapid based on...
