Re: Electrical Issues

Have you connected the toe of each point set to the DCC bus, with 4 points you should have 4 connections to the bus.

Unless the DCC mod does away with that need, then ignore the above.

Have a look at Halfords Camo Brown, looks quite a good colour for track sleepers.

Re: Start voltage adjustment TTS decoder (rebuilt MN)

To adjust top speed you need to adjust the value of CV5 for top speed and then CV6 to set medium speed CV2 is for adjusting start value so your loco just starts to move on Speed Step 1. The trouble with TTS decoders is that they don't support changing CV2, 5 or 6, they only support CV3 & 4 which...

Re: ESU loksound 8 pin v4

I have had them die in storage as well but also not ESU

I wonder if its the old Lead free Solder Creep issue that is well documented for killing electronics after the years warranty has expired

Re: Fitting decoders in N gauge steam locos

The only issue is with the Tender models were at some point they changed the design of the PCB although Dapol actually deny there has been a change The difference is quite easy to check once the tender has been lifted off If you have the PCB were the socket is level with the bottom of the PCB you wi...

Re: Fitting decoders in N gauge steam locos

Hi It should be as easy as remove remove the tender body, it just pulls off, then replace blanking plug with small 6 pin decoder. Dapol used to recomend the Gaugemaster DCC23 decoder. But then we have a problem, at some point Dapol changed the design of the decoder PCB which means that even if you u...

Re: loco coding program

Hi Not familiar with eLink but if it does not support POM (Programming on main) you will need to use a dedicated programming track. If the decoder was new then it should be factory set to address #3 give that a go on the main track to confirm the decoder is working and you have connected it up corre...

Re: Decoder

Or the Laisdcc for £9.99 and it's identical to Dapols Imperium, which makes it easier to setup using Dapols lighting setup guide which needs quite a few CV's set yo get the lights working correctly.

Re: Theft at GC Model Event

Was it only the one trader that lost stock, reported elsewhere as valued at £17 grand, seems odd that only one lost stock, were they in a tent on their own.

Sounds like it was very targeted if Digitrains was the only one hit?

Re: Matching Factory Finish

Was there not a match in Hornbys Humbrol Rail Colour range, I know their GWR/BR loco green is a good match for the BR green that Bachmann and Graham Farish use, never owned anything in Hornby BR green do can't comment on if it matches their own green.

One for the Arduino Experts

Re: 66 TTS speaker upgrade

Don't have any actual recomendatios but pick the largest that will actually fit and make sure it has a sealed sound box, unlike the TTS supplied speaker and most important of all, make sure it's an 8ohm speaker, anything less will kill the amplifier in the decoder. Roads and rails to quite a few tha...
