Re: Dean Street Station - 'OO' loft layout

Fantastic - love the retail units Cheers mate, I designed these myself in coreldraw. They are under scale but I think I get away with it Luverly, not so much a Railway, more of a Retail Roadway :D Never seen such an expanse of modern roads on a layout! Hope you have a big budget to fill those car p...

Dean Street Station - 'OO' loft layout

Hi all, After a few requests, i thought i'd get some pics of my current layout on. The layout is oo scale, DCC modern image layout, there's not much which is prototypical about it. Its mainly for me to run trains of any era or location. This incarnation of the layout has been going for about a year ...

Re: Bill's New Extension. ----Update.

Hi Chaps!! Absolutely wonderful to here from you guys. And to think that I thought that I was off my rocker to start over with the railway again. DEAN Instagram is no place to post model railway pics especially by a master of the art. Come on, let's see what you've been up to of late. It realy is G...

Re: Lode Lane in the spare room

Hi Alan

Great start, it brings back memories of when I had a space similar in my nans house and I built my baseboards almost identical to yours.

Regards Dean.

Re: Bill's New Extension. ----Update.

Hi Bill, nice to see you on the forum again. I'm a lot like you at the moment I don't get on here as much as I would like and I've got a layout started in the loft which has taken about 3 years to get some track down and which I'm not really happy with so it's stalled. hopefully we can both find the...

Re: Leicester Fosse (Central) Sishades new epic

Hi Mate, Long time no speak. Just catching up with your layout and it looks great, love the bridge and canal. I've got a similar size to you in the attic and what you've done with your space is amazing. I may start a thread on mine soon once I decide if I'm going ahead with my current plans. Regards...

Re: Grippets making a comeback in N??????????

Hi all,

Sorry for the delayed response, I've thought long and hard about this and have decided to stick to OO. I'm currently tweaking my plans and just today ordered the first batch of track so hopefully you'll see as topic start soon.

Regards Dean.

Re: Sandford keys

Sorry for dragging up and old thread, but this was looking promising and I noticed the OP still visits fairly regularly so I was wondering if construction continued or if it was scrapped to make way for a newer layout. Hi nickbrad, unfortunately this didn't get much past what you see in the pics as...

Re: Grippets making a comeback in N??????????

Evening all, So I've been up in the loft having a tidy and sort out but I've mainly been working on the track plan and trying to get it right before I start anything for real. I've re-sized the layout down to 16 ft in length and it now seems a lot more manageable but still pretty big for N gauge. No...

Re: Grippets making a comeback in N??????????

Hi all, Thanks for your suggestions and comments. I think i'm going to go with the first plan as daunting as it seems, i'm use to doing big layouts and taking the task on and hopefully wont lose interest a year down the line. I do like Chris's ideas about doing the preserved line first and see how t...

Grippets making a comeback in N??????????

Hi all, So after about a year and selling all my 'OO' stuff, i'm looking to get back into the hobby and i'm going down the N gauge route  As scary as it seems after being a 'OO' man for about 15 years, I must say the more I look into N gauge and whats available nowadays the more I love it. So ...
