Re: Web - 30937 Photographic Group
I nearly just deleted the post but took a chance on clicking on the link - must have caught me in a charitable moment.

Re: R410 Turntable and DCC
If you scroll down to the bottom of this page on the main site there is a description of how to convert it to DCC.

Re: Hattons
Thanks for the clarification.
Looks like a healthy margin on most of the visible items (double the cost price to RRP). I notice you don't show the trade price of the DCC sets, just the RRP and your hand written note stating no margin. What is the trade price of the DCC sets out of interest?

Re: Hattons
Without knowing the layout of the price list the close ups are useless - what's the bit about 2nd mean as it's a fraction of the value?
I tried zooming in on the full page photo, but it's unreadable.
Any chance of scanning it to a PDF / image file so that it's readable?

I look forward to seeing it. Does it have the year on (I assume it's the current price list)?

Re: Hattons
I must admit, when I visit my local shop it's always got a few people in and they are all buying. There are also some small online shops that are making a decent profit and have been around for a reasonable length of time. It must also be remembered that Hattons and the like all started off as a sma...

Re: Hornby Select - Point motor wiring problems.
The tripping is probably being caused by the load being put on the select (assuming you are using the accessory outputs)
I'd use another power supply (if you have one of the train set DC controllers then the AC outputs from that would be fine) for powering the points.

Re: LOCOMOTIVE DECODER
If you are not getting any joy from the model shop, could you post some photo's of the inside of the loco showing where the wires currently are? If you can do that then someone will probably have done a conversion already and be able to help you out.

Re: Can i just confirm that none of the following are DCC ready
I heard its hard to convert, Especially as there are light in both ends.. It shouldn't be a tricky conversion (not done one myself, but like has been said plenty of room inside) but you will need 2 decoders or lots of wires running through the rake. Personally I'd go down the 2 decoder route myself...

I tried my Dynamis in the garden on a sunny day and it wont work, unless both units are in the shade (which means you have to be in the shade and can't enjoy the sunshine)

I think you'll find he was replying to my post, not one of yours.
Shame you feel the way you do as like I said the standard of modelling is pretty good, but you are of course free to post updates wherever you wish..

Keep the toys in the pram please - there is no way to ban someone from a particular thread. You could however ignore their posts maybe.

Re: Horsted Keynes - East Ginstead, OO - New Loco...
I've had this thread brought to my attention, and unfortunately it wasn't for the the standard of modelling which is going (which is pretty good) but for the sniping going on between 2 or 3 of the members. Could we all please keep things civil in the thread. I'm not looking to apportion blame for an...
