R8243 Surface Mounted Point Motor
Hornby have produced a new surface
mounted point motor. This motor appears to be smaller in
size and has a lower profile, and this point motor
doesn't require a point motor housing. It is already
encased in a decorative cover. Hopefully the lower
profile will allow it to be used where longer loco's
would hit a point motor housing when going around the
bend of a standard Hornby point. It looks more like
something you would find next to a real world point
motor. It reminds me of the old mark one point motor
that Hornby used to make, except smaller.
