Hornby 2006 Releases
Below is Hornbys Introduction
For more
than 80 years Hornby trains have led the way in both innovation and fun which is
something that still continues today. This year, more than any other, Hornby is
offering a truly tremendous and varied range of products.
The introduction of the Hornby digital control system marks
another milestone in Hornby’s history. This new type of digital control
harnesses the latest in modern technology so that the user drives each
locomotive directly and with precision. No need for masses of wires, just
straightforward control. And Hornby will be offering this type of digital
control in three specific sets so that those new to the World of model railways
can be ‘digital’ from the word go!
Several
totally new locomotives join the impressive array of Hornby models this year.
Each of these locomotives are eagerly awaited by many - the M7, the Rebuilt West
Country and Battle of Britain classes, the mighty Britannia loco and the
enigmatic King Arthur class each in high demand and each a credit to the drawing
and technical skills of the Hornby technicians and craftsmen. But it does not
stop there. Bursting into the range and showing off its Italian lineage for
speed and style is the Virgin Trains Pendolino which is not just available as a
train set incorporating the Hornby Digital Select unit, but as an extremely
Hornby train pack.
With new control systems, staggeringly detailed models plus
new and innovative additions to the Skaledale range of scenic items, Hornby
continues to raise the standards of model railways to a level that others may
wish to copy but never surpass.
