Review:
The Hornby Skaledale Harold's Larder Corner Shop would
make a great edition to any town scene. This model comes
with a cardboard insert already in place inside the bottom part
of the corner shop which illustrates the goods which you would
find for sale at your local corner shop. All the window panes,
door frames and signs have been hand painted well, helping add
to the realistic look of this model. The bottom of the model is
open, which means you are able to add lighting effect or even
create your own floor, perhaps sticking some people to it so
that it would appear the shop had some customers.
The only thing I would
suggest is to use some card to separate the bottom and top
floors of the shop, as at present when viewed up
close as, you can see all the way through to the bottom floor
when looking through the top windows.
This corner shop would
compliment the Skaledale Terraced Houses R8621
and R8622 as it's made from the same brick.
