Hornby Model Railway Locomotive Reviews -
Class 92

Good Model, nice detailing.
I have wanted one of these models for many
years, but now I have had a close look at one I am a little disappointed.
The detailing is good but compared to the
Hornby class 56 (2005) it pale in comparison. Like the
hornby class 56 the front is detailed well with wipers, horns, lights and
numbering, but no where near to the level of the class 56. This may be
because the 56 has got more fictional features on the front than the much
more modern class 92.

This model has Hornby’s five pole ringfield motor and so has
good slow speed control and overall top speed. It also comes with pantograph
(non-working), working front lights and cab lights. This model also comes
with a set of two replacement metal pantograph tops. This is a good model
and I will be buying one for my collection. Its only down sides is its lack
of interior cab detail and a cab crew.
This loco is used for hauling freight through the Channel Tunnel.
