Hornby Model Railway Locomotive Reviews -
Class 37
Class
37 EWS Livery
(R2255A)
Rating 6/10, Detailing is average, but its
a very good runner!
These two class 37's came as a pair. One of these is powered and the other
is a dummy. They can be run as a pair or just the powered car. As you can
see these models look great.

Although the plastic moulding is very basic with little detail and the glass
on the cab is not flush, the weathered paint coat more than makes up for
this. The power car runs very well. It almost never stalls and has both a
good slow speed control as well as a good top speed. The model also hardly
ever derails.
This models only negative point with regards to its running is its traction.
When pulling a 6 wagon train with its dummy car (which weights quite a bit),
it has a tendency to wheel spin. This can be seen as a plus as it takes more
skill to run this model more like a real train but not if you had an incline
on your layout.
