Function:
The Class 06 has no slow speed control and has a suicidal top
speed.
I was unable to give it full power as the
model tried to de-rail itself. You couldn't see the wheels of
the model due to the blur created from the speed it was going.
It was quite comical to watch.
For past experience this local will not be able
to pull heavy loads
without a lot of wheel spin, as the model is far too light and
has no traction tyres.
The model will be prone to stalling, but there is
not much that Hornby can do about this.
For a little shunter this shouldn't be able to go as fast as it
can, and it certainly wouldn't be able to pull anything at these
speeds.
It appears to be more of a toy than a model, and
as a toy its speed and robustness will allow for endless
entertainment.
Detail:
The detailing is very limited on this model, but I expected very
little for the price that you would pay for this model. The
Class 06 comes with standard couplings at each end, standard
buffers, and 4 wheel drive with 4 wheel pickup.

Overall: This is a cheap
model and fun, not to be taken too seriously. Ideal for younger
children.
